I think my body is maing up for the big loss last week - weighing in at 181.0 so + 0.2lbs. Never mind....

Well I've had to change my entire exercise regime. I twisted my knee while running the first session of week 9 C25k. Having taken advice, I'm resting it until Monday to ensure that I can resume running without making the problem worse. In the meantime I'm sticking to low impact activity. My garden has never looked better.…

I completely understand the logic, but a counter agrument is that if daily weight can fluctuate up to 5lbs and your weight loss goal is 2lbs a week, it's very possible that the weekly weigh ins could catch you out for 1 or 2 weeks leading to demotivation. I think you should do what works for you. I record my weight daily,…

Oh wow - I can't believe it! Honestly - it's the boost I need at the moment. I was feeling fat and that I wasn't achieving..... OK, challenge. Rather than a specific exercise I'd like to set a challenge to add 25% extra time to whatever evercise time you were already doing, so if you're running for 20 minutes, add an extra…

180.8 lbs today! Really, really pleased

I think I should be OK.I've carried on with C25k and have been watching the calories, so if I've put on, I'll be disappointed.
-
Stunning - very, very funny!

If I have to tell them I'm good at something, they're not someone I know very well which means I'm unlikely place any value on what their opinion of me is, so why would I tell them? If I know someone and therefore value their opinion, my actions should demonstrate that I'm good at something when it's needed.

That's amazing! You're inspirational. Well done.

Weigh in for today - 184.0 To all who are having such a horrible time, my thoughts are with you.
-
I think we all want to send you positive thoughts and hope you have the strength to do everything you need to do.

I completely agree. Just one thing to add - I appreciate that my friends on this site take the time out of their busy schedules, even if it is only a few minutes, to log onto the site and take the trouble to express a positive thought about how I'm getting along. "WTG" is fine by me - it still shows they are supporting me…

OK - weigh-in time. 185.8lbs for me. Good luck everyone

There's more stuff on the bbc website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/humanbody/truthaboutfood/

Well done! Good luck on the programme

I think the knee thing is quite common as I've seen a few posts elsewhere with similar complaints. For me, my lower quads and knees ached after C25k in weeks 2 & 3, but for days 2 & 3 of week 3 I took 500mg of paracetamol before running and the problem resolved itself. I've just started week 5 and I have no pain, just a…

Why not go all out and have "STILL skinny for Christmas 2012"?

OK, 187.8 today. TINY loss on last week, but last week I had plummeted, so I'm still very happy!

At this stage - I kind of don't care because gorgeous husband has noticed the 10lb loss to date and is being very, very complimentary. I've got myego boost for this week, so if the scales aren't kind, my husband is.....

Fab post - you're doing brilliantly and are a real inspiration!

I don't think we do have Real stores here or it could be that they're in another part of the country to me. These are the jars from lakeland: http://www.lakeland.co.uk/13219/500ml-Kilner-Jars Once you know what you're looking for, you can shop around and get them cheaper, bu the picture on the site shows you what to look…

Good for you. Best wishes and good luck. You just need to talk to and listen to each other. I wish you well.

It's a horrible situation to be in, but let's face it, we're all just speculating without all the facts. Yes the comments are hurtful, but when you can ask without an argument, you need to ask her why she feels that way. Then you need to listen and discuss. It may be irrational or well founded fears she has. Either way…

Lots and lots of gardening - building new raised beds, double digging in manure...oh and C25k!
-
My goodness - you're an inspiration! I'm not that consistent. I'm closer to the start of my journey and manage 1 day on, one day off, but I AM completing the 3500 calories burnt although I am struggling with the sit-ups. Your goal of 41lbs is similar to mine and the fact that you're nearly there gives me hope that I can do…

Oooo, one thing I forgot to tell you was two years ago we tried growing our own mustard and got a fantastic crop making our own wholegrain mustard. We still ahve quite a bit left but will have to grow some more next year. You'll be surprised what we can grow in this weird English climate. I have tried peanuts as well, but…

I agree with sjlepkowski about the pressure canning, but as you're UK like me, when I first heard about pressure canning - I thought tin cans. Apologies if I'm teaching you things you already know, but pressure canning is actually like jam jars, but the lids have two parts - a screw part which has a circle cut out and a…

Thanks for this post! I just needed a little reminder myself of what I need to get to and you prompted this for me with your post! Day 2 Week 4 tomorrow. I did it once, I can do it again.....

Yes I grow my own too and have just eaten a steak with homegrown new boiled potatoes, cucumber and salad leaves. Unfortunately the tomatoes aren't ready yet so I had shop bought. In the greenhouses I have tomatoes (4 varieties, 42 plants), cucumbers, chillis (6 varieties, 21 plants) and bell peppers. In the veg patch I…

Wow - I'm joining you - she is my new hero!
