If we band together, we can do this. I did this before too, just like all of you. Life just gets in the way though. For me it was an illness that meant I couldn't exercise and silly me, I didn't adjust my calorific intact...oh well...new year, NEW US!!!!

Absolutely nothing is required of you to stay with MFP. You can choose to be as involved as you want to. Some people simply use the motivation of ther friends to stimulate their motivation to be fitter and eat better. Other people fully immerse themselves in the community boards and use the social aspect to learn, although…

I take any compliment as an encouragement. This is my goal and any push is welcome. If people say it falsely, it backfires on them. I take it as encouragement and work harder.

I suspect the debilitating cold, having to go out and hunt for hours to gather the game meat, carry out all household chores manually, build your own house and ships, plus forge your own tools for the pillaging raids ALL probably helped their waistline too.

All I could think of was how much compensation they'll have to pay out when some div out there cripples themselves either by crushing their nadgers or needing a neck brace..... Seriously - is that for real?

I'm still amazed that Mars sees it's product as an asset to a healthy lifestyle. A treat, a reward maybe for active people, but not an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. Just my opinion. Deep frying it is quite frankly disgusting, but the Mars bar is not a health product even without deep frying it.

I believe in personal responsibility. I think that protection should be applied where discrimination is likely or experienced if it is out of a person’s direct control. This to me includes race, age and disability. Obesity, in my opinion only qualifies if a cause is identified which is out of the persons control e.g.…

The article quotes statistics as its proof of research which can be used to prove both the affirmative and the negative dependent on the way that you analyse and present your results. My opinion is that they have manipulated the statistics and failed to take into account crucial external factors. Yes a person that loses a…

This is the site that also has articles called "Four mythical creatures that actually exist" and "You might be a zombie". You do the math....
-
Thanks both. The links are very informative and I will talk to my GP about yoga.

I know lots of people have said this, but the two photos really do look like two completely different people. Your transformation is phenomenal and you should be so proud of yourself. A whole new you!
-
What a stunning transformation. You continue to inspire me - the lazy one that is your inadequate friend..... You have worked enormously hard and it really does show. WELL DONE
-
Stop worrying about what everyone else thinks about you and the way they look. Trust me, they're so worried about how they look and what everyone else thinks that you'll be lucky to even hit their radar. Other than that, keep doing what you're doing. Bad stuff happens, you'll make mistakes (real clangers!), but great…

Namiobsidian: You have a kind face and GREAT bone structure - very high cheek bones. I wish I had that.
-
You have a beautiful smile
-
Not everyone is going to like you all the time so stop trying to make it happen. It's OK that some people don't like you and it's OK not to like some people. Relax.

I think we should campaign our local MP to introduce a white paper requiring all food manufacturers to ditch hte big calories and only give us small calories....after all we need SOMEONE to tell us what to do. Don't forget - breathe in, breathe out, breath in, breathe out.....
-
You should be immensely proud. You look stunning and I bet you feel better.
-
Now why didn't I think of that? There was I thinking that taking part on a site like MFP would help me, when all I had to do was watch telly and eat a bit smarter.....
-
If I were you I wouldn't pursue a relationship. If it were me and it started to look long-term, I would be spending all my time worrying if I gained a few small pounds whether she would take that as a licence to dump me. Do you want that pressure?
-
I blame my eyes - they're always bigger than my belly.....everything always looks so good... Should I use the fork to poke them out rather than eating the food?
-
You know what? Sod the rest of the world. You dress as you feel comfortable. I turned 40 a couple of weeks ago and my father has been telling me since my 30th birthday that it's completely inappropriate for a woman of my age to have long hair. This last week, I've had 4 compliments. Quite frankly, I wouldn't care if I had…
