This is a brilliant new setup - I LOVE IT  So much easier to group our discussions instead of trawling through the whole lot.

Going ok so far this week :) I think I'm getting the hang of this regular working out thing

I got Davina's My 3 30min workouts last night (well it should be there when I get home tonight) and I'm going to see how the cardio box section goes in my cramped quarters lol. I'm actually going to give swimming a go on Sunday morning too which should be a nice change.

Has anybody tried any Davina McCall dvds? I am looking for something like cardio boxing that I can do in a very small area. We currently live with my mother in law while we build our house and the house is CHOCKERS full of our combined furniture and general clutter. So I don't really have room to do things like shred and…

Well done - I was 100% opposite this week :( I better than i did last week food and exercise wise, and I still gained back the half kg I lost last week!!! It really frustrates the crap out of me, I feel like I keep ending up back where I began. I keep going over the "water weight or hormones" rationale but we will see come…

HAHAHAHA Frequent tinkling was out of control for the first two days but it seems to be ok now! I have actually found I'm eating less now that I'm keeping on top of my water. I've never been a snacker, but I was one of those people that get the tummy rumbles at 11.45 and spend the next 15 minutes watching the clock like a…

Absolutely. Last night I was thinking "hmmm I need something sweet after that dinner..." but then thought better of it and just carried on with what I was doing without even having the treat enter my mind again. It was a little bit liberating!

Even the breathing is like being behind the car. Only breathing exhaust fumes should produce that sound. :) [/quote] I used to be like that too - it was my arch nemesis! But perseverence has paid off, I did 35 mins on it last night! 5kms (3.1 miles) which is a new personal best :D I think i got runners (or eliptical-ers)…

Motorbike riding.... I'm a complete amatuer! My fiance and his mates ALL have dirt bikes and go for rides out on bush tracks and out in old dried out river beds and stuff. And normally us girls are left at the accomodation or at home to our own devices, which is fun...BUT sometimes it's nice to join in. So one of the girls…

No I can't believe it! It's crazy how quick it's going, Christmas is just around the corner now... We just had a long weekend for the Melbourne Cup (horse racing) and I have been a little naughty :( Unfortunately I like going to the pub and having a nice chicken schnitzel and a drink and a bet on Cup Day!!! Luckily we…

It's a marathon not a sprint - and YOU ARE DOING FAB!!! Stress less Saff, you'll work it off in no time. :flowerforyou: Halloween today - I know I am basically going to be fuelled by sugar today so off to the gym this afternoon!!!

Hooray for 0.5kg loss this week! Yay finally some progress on re-losing what I put back on since I started  And seeing as how I didn't quite make my minutes...next week I am hoping to get a similar result. Oh I'm excited, I think I even did a little happy dance haha!

Hello Ladies :) Hope everyone is doing well for their challenges this week. I have struggled with my exercise minutes this week >.< but have kept up the water. I shall blame tax returns (thanks horribly disorganized Fuzband!) for sucking my 'non work' time into a vortex! But on the plus side, his taxes are done, and I got…

Well done :flowerforyou:

This is why I exercise alone :) I love my friends to death but my bestie (bless her) is always home late or waiting til after tea...blah blah blah. I finsih work at 4.30 and I would rather get straight into exercise instead of going home and settling in. Plus it's my "me" time

I have always stuck to these basic stretching rules: 1. I don't do static (stretch and hold) stretches before a workout, always just gently start to warm up and 'flex around a bit' before getting into it. 2. Static stretches after I'm done - for every stretch that I do, I do x 3. Holding for 15-20 counts each time (you…

Thanks for the link MrsB, very interesting read. Funnily enough I have found that working out can sometimes be the only thing that calms me down (even if it takes a bit of mental bargaining to get to the gym). And I have figured out why. It's the only thing that is 100% MINE. Nobody else gets a say, nobody else gets to…

Absolutely personal preference. I do my workouts after work, and I will generally have something really little (like one slice of toast or a little piece of cheese, like a kids cheese stick or something) just to get rid of that hollow feeling and get me through til dinner. I have found if I eat more than that I feel heavy…

Are you confusing hungry with unsatisfied? That happens to me a lot...some days (normally hormonal days) I can eat until I feel like it's going to split my skin, but I'm still on the hunt for something else... Sounds stupid, but sometimes if I brush my teeth that feeling goes away.

Thanks RoseAnne. Oh the heart racing....yep that happens. I get to the point where it effects me physically (toilet wise and throw up wise - sorry to be graphic!) which of course makes me more self consious about it and stresses me further! Vicious cycle huh! I am slowly learning to control them to a point, and getting to…

Yes! I have to do a full power walk to keep up with my man's stroll! He is 6'3" I struggle with time goals. I have bouts of anxiety and at the moment I am having big family issues on my mum's side and with us building the house I am a little nervy and easily slip into a funk. I think at the moment as long as I do the right…

Well done girl :) I find the simple fact that I am paying for a membership makes me pull my finger out and actually go often. And I make sure I go on my way home for work, if I go home first I find it's too easy to get distracted with cooking housework etc and I don't end up going. The Eliptical trainer - it's a mighty…

I'm a Melbourne girl :)

I'm confident that I'll meet the excercise minutes, and I am determined to get this water drinking right! I am not very good at drinking enough, like at all. I rarely drink anything other than water (except for my one cup of tea in the morning) but I still struggle to meet it. I guess it is all about getting into the habit…

Urrrrgh so I've gained back so much this weekend....I am seriously hoping it's just hormaonal and at the end of the week I will see a much better number on the scale :( And of course I ate crap all weekend cos I was feeling miserable (vicious cycle huh!) I have however been keeping up with my water so yay for that haha!…

The weather should help you out here, long summer days are perfect for spending outside :) Unfortunately these long warm sunny days are also perfect for sitting out having a bbq and a drink or two....but sssshhhhh I didn't tell you that!!!!
-
I either hit the eliptical for 30 min or treadmill for 45 usually. Or I'll do a class, either spin or pump. I freaking hate doing weights at the gym, the only way is if I do a pump class, free weights bore the crap out of me. I prefer to go alone too - I get too distracted when there are other people with me and I don't…
-
Hooray it's the 14th today! :D Have we decided on our next challenge yet? I didn't do so great in the last one...BUT pumped to give a new challenge a crack!
-
I get frustrated when people look too perfect at the gym! matching gear, perfect hair, lots of bling and stuff...BLAH! Do some work slackers!!!! I wear my stretched, faded and loose t shirts cos it's going to be sweaty stinky mess by the time I am done. But please, put your *kitten* crack away... HAHAHAHAHA

The important thing is to enjoy life honey :) I LOVE going out for a nice meal, and when I go to a fab restaurant i am not going to miss out on what could be the most exquisite seafood platter/tapas/fresh pasta I am ever going to eat in my life just because I am counting my calories. If you are good all of the other times,…
