Hey everyone,
I just relocated from the US to the Central Coast of New South Wales in Australia. I'm 21 and currently about halfway through my Master's degree program in Justice Administration.
I've always been lacking in the fitness and nutrition department. My parents were active before they became parents but raising me they role modeled a life of inactivity. We ate out most meals during the week. My highest weight was about 170lbs (77kg/12st). In 2008 I got down to 130 (59kg/9st) but I gained most of that back during my Freshman year in University.
I've been a horseback rider since I was a child and joined a competitive team in University. My weight held me back a lot and it was incredibly discouraging. I am now living in Australia and am ready to take control of my health and fitness. I've been studying to be a police officer since I was in high school and again my fitness has been the only thing holding me back.
I'd like to get back down to about 130lbs (59kg/9st) but my overall fitness is most important to me, whatever weight that leaves me at.
I love MyFitnessPal, I've been using it for a week pretty consistently now and I love how well it helps me follow my progress. I hope to meet more people that are going through the same struggles!
