Didn't like the either lunge workouts in level one. The first one with hammer curls because it killed my knees, and the anterior arm raises because they made my arms feel like jelly. I like the ab work and the cardio boxing. Moving onto level 2 in a few days so I'm sure I'll find more things to dislike!

Don't worry, I'm 18 and used to play Soccer and even I had to take breaks the first few days! There's been times when I've thought I didn't want to do it but pushed myself through it and I did day five today and feel so much stronger and can get through most of the cardio without stopping. I started 30 DS on Saturday. Think I'm on day four today as I used Monday to do a 6 week 6 pack workout instead. Now I'm doing 30 DS in the morning and one of her other DVDs for the afternoon when I feel up to it.

If you entered personal data into the HRM, make sure that's correct. If it is then I think the sensor isn't picking up your heart rate for large parts of the workout. I assume you have a chest strap? Make sure it's wet enough or I'm not sure if this works but you can pick up a bottle of conductive gel that should help pick…

Well you won't burn so many calories doing it that way so seeing results may take a little longer but doing it in sections is better than doing no exercise at all or trying to do more and making your asthma bad.

I personally don't listen to her after the first watch of the workout as I know what I'm doing so turn it to music only in the menus. I've just started this today also as well as a bit of the 6 week 6 pack DVD. Hopefully going to manage the full 30 in around 35 days taking into account the odd rest day.

I'd say it's lightly active. Standing burns something like 50% more calories than sitting down. It's up to you though, you can try it as that for a week or so and see how you go.

I'm pretty sure it's normal. Your body is trying to cool itself down. My skin is the same, that's why when I finish working out so I put on some clothes like a hoodie etc and make sure I drink enough water to rehydrate.

I usually work out on an empty stomach because I have it into my head that I'll be burning fat I have already stored rather than what I just ate. Wow, well done. I've tried that program several times and failed to jog for a whole minute so gave up! At least you know to take care this time and maybe you can jog for longer in the future when you feel stronger.

Sports Active 2 is a great workout but you do so many lunges and a LOT of cardio! I started with the 30 day kickstart programme and I'm now on the 90 day one. Really makes you sweat. The only thing that gets annoying is spending 10 minutes trying to find your heart rate (and can be inaccurate at times when you do find it)…

I lost 5lbs in the first month, then in one week of still eating healthy and working out I put it all back on again and another week or staying the same weight. Really discouraging but I'm trying to stick at it as I know I won't lose weight by giving up.

Wish I hadn't read this now, I have bad knees too so sounds like I'll hate level 2. When I struggle I just keep thinking about what I want my body to look like when I've done, usually helps me get through. There's always times when I don't want to do it but I put it in anyway and do it as it's only 20 minutes of torture…
