GuessGiGi: Great start! I have heard good things about Leslie Sansone. FitnFun: Nice ride. Bicycling is something I am interested in picking up again. It has been YEARS since I rode. Sherrillg: Some days are just more challenging, eh? One day at a time. 90 minutes of walking, is still great, regardless of your heart rate.…

I picked up a dvd at Walmart for $3 the other day, Golds Gym 'Muffin Top Meltdown' (title made me laugh). Tried it for the first time today, it is a great, basic workout with no fancy moves but really gets the heart rate up! My thighs, glutes and abs are going to feel this one tomorrow! Day 1, part 1: 20 Cardio/10 ST

I'm in! Thank you for the challenge! I am hoping the challenge will help me to increase the ST on my schedule. Currently, I average 40-60 minutes a day of cardio, so my challenge will be to let go of 20 of those 'quick calorie burn' minutes so I can increase those muscles that I am sure are hiding there somewhere! 6 small…

How fun!

I am open to suggestion on the challenge-how do you feel about hula hooping? LOL! I am going to pick one up this weekend. It is a really fun way to work the waist and burn calories. Sounds like a great workout! I love a workout that give me a big return on investment. I have done HHA a couple of times. And it was…

Beachbody.com is not a scam, and is a legit sight. I love Turbo, have been doing Turbo jam for a couple of years, both in the gym and at home. I am moving up to TF myself, it is a killer workout. There are a lot of real people on YouTube doing the workout. This one is a good example:…

I am up for a new challenge, if you are! I am thinking of getting a hula hoop and a jump rope, lol, just for fun :) Good idea on increasing ST, I need to do that, as well. The TJ workouts are amazing for reshaping and toning, but every birthday I have seems to create a more stubborn 'jiggle in my wiggle'. I haven't been…

Hey, a friend has a copy of Hip Hop Abs! Guess who gets to borrow it? For the week of 08/29-09/03: Monday: 20 min Turbo Jam Tuesday: Hip Hop Abs Wednesday: Run Day Thursday: TJ Punch/Kick/Jam Friday: Hip Hop Abs Sat-Mon: Last big campout of the year  There will most likely be some hiking, softball and the…

Hi! Glad you are feeling better. I had a freak cold, myself, that took some of the wind out of my workout sails at the beginning of last week. I am all better now! I changed my mind on HHA for now, because I love Turbo Jam SO much, I decided to bump up to the next level and will be ordering Turbo Fire the first part of…

'You look great for having four kids'

First, seek medical advice. But, I am guessing you are overdoing the exercise and under doing the eating. There are other things that can cause fatigue and weakness, such as low blood sugar and low iron just to name a couple. Really, you should consult your doctor.

I will echo the rest, start small, make little changes at a pace that wont overwhelm you. You can do it! Check out Hungrygirl.com for some great recipes that use swaps of lower fat/calorie items for some of your favorite foods. Good luck! :flowerforyou:

Until I hit 40, I would have agreed with you. Now, however, if I don't burn calories through exercise, the weight doesn't budge  . Luckily, I have discovered a love of running and kickboxing to even the odds :drinker:

Week 5: This is Turbo week! Monday: Turbo Sculpt-40 minute toning w/5 lb weights. I like this workout and will probably do it at least once a week. Con: No cardio so will have to squeeze that in. I added a 60 minute walk in the evening. Tuesday: Turbo Jam: Punch, Kick, Jam. 50 minutes of Turbo goodness! Wednesday: Run Day…

I am a fan of the two-for-one, lol, so any workout where I can double up on the return on time investment is a winner for me! I will look into the Firm, I like band workouts!

YUM! Adding this to my fall collection, thanks!

Hey! I found you all :) Count me in. 45 mom of 4, Mima (meema) of 4, married to my best friend for going on 20 years. I refer to myself as a professional dieter...dieting since I was 16 and have tried just about every plan out there. It has taken me way too long to figure out that there is no secret, no quick fix, and no…

Chop it up and put it in a salad. Slice into rounds, freeze it and add it to chili's and stews over the winter. Use it as a base in a salsa. There are some good cookie recipes out there, too!

Agreed, thighs (as long as skin is removed) are only slightly higher in fat/cal. I like to rotate them in periodically, too. Thanks for the tip!

I will second the opinion for a good cross trainer. I am currently doing TJ barefoot because of foot pain. Once I kicked off my running shoes (they just are not made for lateral movement) the pain in my foot went away. However, I have developed a lovely blister on my big toe from the pivoting :grumble: I am looking at…

What type of junk food, in particular, do you struggle with? Sometimes making a swap is the easiest thing. For instance, I am a chocoholic. I make no bones about it. Instead of abolishing it from my diet, I gave myself permission to include it every day. The catch is it has to be dark chocolate, and I can only have it at…

Bea, another suggestion for a good kickboxing workout would be the 10 Minute Solution: Kickboxing Bootcamp. No dancing at all, but a great instructional workout! http://www.collagevideo.com/workout-video/10-minute-solution-kickbox-bootcamp-7486 I ended up running again today, instead of doing a dvd. We have company for an…

Hi Rhonda! I am a Turbo junkie, though I have not tried Fire, yet. If your knees can stand it, try going barefoot. I have the sore feet issue, as well. Mostly due to doing the workout in running shoes vs. cross trainers, I think. I kicked my shoes off in frustration a couple of days ago and Voila! No more foot pain! Though…

UPDATE: Monday: TJ Punch, Kick, Jam Tuesday: EDIT: Kids sleeping in my workout space, so went for a 4.5 mile run instead! Wednesday: Something on Netflix Thursday: TBD Friday: TBD Saturday: Run Day Sunday: Off Hi! I have not tried Cardio Party 2, but from every review I have read it is not the best of the collection. When…

I hope your trip is a fun one! The book you discovered sounds interesting, I don't have a BnN close, but will keep my eye out for a copy at local book stores. Great workouts, btw! After reviewing eleventy-thousand (lol) workout dvd's on both Amazon and Collagevideo (thanks to the poster for that tip!) I think I am going to…

LOL @ 'breathe like Darth Vader'! Sounds like a good workout. I need to add some Yoga, Tai Chi, or something similar to my workouts. Being time challenged, though, I don't want to give up my cardio. *sigh* Today's workout for me was 'Turbo Jam's Punch, Kick, Jam'. I really liked it, not much of a surprise to me, lol. When…
