I've been doing P90X, but I use a really good heart rate monitor. Depending on the workout, like Core Synergistics or Shoulders & Arms, it varies. But I've definitely hit over 600 calories on Core and Cardio. I would invest in a simple heart rate monitor; Polar makes a good, easy to use version.

I hate working out in the morning too. I'm more of a mid-morning person. RIght now I have the flexibilty in my job to go to the gym during lunch. Even if I just get on the treadmill and zone-out watching tv, it's better than nothing. If you don't have that flexibility, just do 2 things in the morning and you'll see result…
