You get a 9, for that sunburn!

You know in your mind that you are a runner. However running outside and running on a treadmill are very different, and I encourage you to try it. You have to adapt to wind, temperature, elevation changes, etc and it will help to improve your athleticism to practice on different terrains. But if you run, you are a runner.…

Love Les Miserables. I've seen it on stage 3 times, the definition of Epic.

Starter push ups, yes. I also still use the Smith Machine for inverted rows.

When visiting France, I met a band made up of 3 people that were performing classic rock/blues. We ended up having a lot in common, so I chilled back at their place and stayed there for the 3 days that I was in their city. Lots of interesting substances were passed around the table in 3 days. In hindsight, not the smartest…

I didn't even know that it was starting today! Now I can't wait to get home :) I was just quoting the Dumpter Baby episode at work today

^^this. It satifies my "dessert tooth" and helps me hit my protein/fat macros. 190 calories is not a lot in the big scheme of things. I usually put it on whole grain toast or fruit. It makes a nice and BALANCED 250-300 calorie snack to fuel my workouts.

I only lift 2x per week now because I'm training for a marathon, but after that's over, I'm going back to 3x per week. I always do deadlifts and squats paired with some arm/back movements like strict press or bench. My third component is usually 1 leg, and 1 arm at the end. For example: Day 1: back squat/benchpress (5…

I don't think it's weird to not like sports. If you don't grow up in it, it may be hard to get into. I however DID grow up in a sports household, and have the NFL channel, play fantasy football, watch NHL, and still play competitive tennis and softball. I understand no everyone is into it, but life seems so empty without…

That's amazing, congratulations! I'm doing the same, did a half last year and my first full is in october. I was up at 240 when I started running, and now I'm down to 193 and hoping to add to the deficit. Great motivation :)

Awesome job, and the clothes measure is def the best in my opinion. I remember the first time that I bought a strapless size 12 that I was working towards for a wedding. By the time I was ready to wear it, I wasn't a 12...I was a 10 and had to belt it! A welcome surprise :) Now I have a lovely size 8 number in red that I'm…

I learned how to use an AED in high school. It's extremely easy, and I believe it is a requirement for anyone working in a fitness center to know how to operate one, especially if you are to be the sole employee. That being said, I'm agreeing with these other comments about the first girl being nonchalant about it. She…

It's definitely a sad story. I don't understand how you can be a work out area, and not have a defibrillator or someone trained to handle an emergency like this on site. People are pushing themselves and elevating their heart rates and breathing rates. Safety 101, and I believe that it is illegal. Pretty sure PF is liable…

Def like this study. I ran a half marathon last year and felt like my legs were going to come apart! Now I'm currently training for a full marathon and not only am I up to 16 milers, there's no joint pain. The difference? Lifting heavy for 6 months has apparently strengthened and stabilized my legs. Love it!

Ronda Rousey. I hope to have something close to this when all is said and done!
