I posted this in another thread, but meant to post it in this one... I did workout 5A yesterday. I am up to 65 pound squats, went up to 60 pounds on the seated row, doing full push ups (was before i started this) and using two 17.5 pound dumbbells for the step ups. My shoulders are bit sore today so I think I did pretty…

I did workout 5A yesterday. I am up to 65 pound squats, went up to 60 pounds on the seated row, doing full push ups (was before i started this) and using two 17.5 pound dumbbells for the step ups. My shoulders are bit sore today so I think I did pretty good :). I have been at maintenance calories all month and haven't…

I sell slot machine parts to casinos in Vegas (lived there for 25 years). Now I work from my home in the Midwest.

I am definitely going to try the 'superman' mount/dismount. Great idea :)

I do my workout at the gym and they do have cameras. I just hope that no one is watching. LOL

I have seen this guy, but have never see him actually work out. He also spends a lot of time in the parking lot and his truck looks like he lives in it. Creeee-peeee

I have never used it, but my neighbor absolutely loved it. She was able to talk to her husband while he was deployed. :)

You were at a bar, right? How many cocktails did this guy have before you talked to him? Will he even remember your conversation this morning? People do and say the strangest things when they have been drinking, things they would normally never do. Or, maybe he just has 'little mans syndrome' and mixed it with some liquid…

On my first workout the ball was so wobbly that I fell off too. I did the third workout yesterday and I have WAY more control already. I was still a little wobbley, but nothing like that first workout. Keep at it, it will get easier. :) Edit: I have not figured out how to dismount gracefully. LOL

Great info Beeps, ty. I will look into the better form with the rows and step-ups and make sure that i am doing them correctly. I did noticed that my glutes were sore after the second deadlift workout. So much to learn! Excited :)

^this I have included Natural Designer Whey in my diet. It's quite good and has 20mg protein per 100 calorie scoop, plus the added benefit of potassium. I increased my calories from 1500 daily to 1750 (non-lift days) and 2050 (lift days), this should be my maintenance calories, doubled my protein and scrapped my cardio…

I only log it if is not something I do all the time. I do not log dishes, laundry, dusting, etc. I will log carpet cleaning, windows (we have a lot of windows and about half of them require the use of a ladder), spring cleaning and stuff like that. I always forget to use my HRM, so I enter it as 'light' housework and only…

Pandora on the Sqeezebox, the typing sound the iPad is making and the hammering of nails on the next block (a house is being built SUPER fast). I know my office phone is about to ring (I work at home). No annoying coworkers, YAY!! Yep... Phone just started ringing :)

I have been only slightly sore for the last couple of days and will add the HIIT on non-lifting days starting next week. Overall, I did pretty good staying on target with nutrition. I feel like I am eating a lot, but I am sure that is only because I was starving my body for so long. I am quite certain that my metabolism is…

I do not log everyday housework (dshes, vacuuming, laundry, dusting, etc), but if I am doing something that is out of the ordinary, I sure do. For example, our house has a lot of windows and to get to the upper ones, I need to drag out the ladder (both inside and outside) and it will take several hours of work ad constant…

The workouts have been around 20-25 minutes for me, so far. I started Stage 1 on Monday and have been too sore to include cardio on the non-lifting days. I should be better by next week so I am planning some HIIT for 20-30 on the off days. My lift days are M-W-F and HIIT days will be Tu-Th-Sa

It looks like I will be idle today and I am okay with that. I am too sore to walk 20 minutes, even the motion to sit in a chair hurts. I can't believe that two sets of 15 did this. I am excited and can't wait until tomorrow. I guess I will see how I feel on Thursday, maybe I will be able to do some HIIT.
-
I am already sore and I did the first workout just this morning. I do not want to be idle tomorrow so I am either going to do the 20 minutes of intervals on the treadmill or the spin bike. If I am WAY too sore or that, then I will probably walk at 3mph for 20-30 minutes. I want my muscles to repair before my next workout…

I started this morning and I seriously thought that 2 sets of 15 squats idn't sound like much. Boy was I wrong. I used the 45 pound bar by itself and did the two sets as instructed. I had jelly legs when I was done, LOL. I guess that is a good sign. The jackknifes were pretty hard, but I liked the movement. Looking forward…

I also have a hard time working out after work so I hit the gym first thing in the morning. 1. I have the energy 2. I get my choice of equipment I went to the gym at night once... Too many people for me. You can do it :)
