Slim wagon, nice way to put it!

Never dated any girl under 145 pounds, any less does nothing for me. I can relate better to someone who looks like she actually eats something!

It's funny now that I am focused on dropping the weight I will order something when and say things like my wife will have X and I will have Y and I wonder if people really believe that. Especially that's exactly what I'm doing!

I had a girlfriend who would drink 4-6 cans of Mt. Dew because she needed the caffeine in the morning. I'm with you on the anger and depression being fixed by working out though, so much better!

I posted in my own thread this morning about avoiding the emotional eating piece which is so hard to do. I finally decided yesterday to take a hard walk as opposed to eating my feelings, you can do it! The worst thing I ever did was get an 8 piece bucket meal from KFC on the way to a girl's house that I had just started…

I feel old mostly because I work for a university and this years first year students weren't even born when I graduated HS. Some day I'll look like these men :)

That is great! Good for you!

That happened to me recently too, awesome feeling! Good job!

Yes he is always happy to go for a walk. There's one minor issue with a big dog though, he gets tired faster than I do. We went on a walking trail and were 1.5 miles from the truck when he decided he was going to stop and lay down while looking at me to pick him up! Thankfully he got back up after a few minutes! I love…

The eating never got to me until I started logging everything I eat. When I realized that some of my favorite meals when stressed were taking up half my allotted calories I got rather disgusted by it. The thing was it was easy for me to say that I was going to walk instead, I try and do that anyway when I get home from…

No kidding. I want to go to the gym at work but not until I get new shorts. Given that I work for a university police department I don't exactly want be charged with indecent exposure :)

Thank you :) That's Brutus, he's 4.5 years old, weighs 180 lbs. He loves to go for rides! He is a rock star wherever he goes!

Well, we were out of chips! :) No, seriously I need to work on channeling out my frustration in better ways than I have in the past, I spent far too many years being an emotional eater and need to put that in the past.

I agree completely. Whenever I set a goal I spend too much time thinking about that number and getting to it. I have no goal in mind other than to be healthier, get out of the risk group for diabetes and getting off my hypertension medications. I weigh myself for the concrete knowledge that I am losing weight beyond that,…

If you focus on the things you have and the maintain the focus on your goals you will come out ahead and stronger for it no matter how long it takes. I am a believer that we are only given what we can handle and when we are given the tools to succeed such as the people and the motivation to get healthier there is a reason…

Speaking as a former 21 year old male, males at that time are really not ready to date or take anything seriously, the fact that you are asking for help shows a maturity they are lacking. Everyone else can save the hate mail, I get young people can have great relationships :) Seriously though, don't care what society…

awww... I wanted them! LOL :) plus I just realized that in 22.8 pounds I will have lost a hundred pounds... I am speechless... 22.8 # is my next goal... to reach 100# lost... [/quote] Wow, nice job! You can have them then, you're a lot closer than I am to 100 pounds.

Can we count the calories? :) Also to Jen, awesome job, bet the foot will feel a lot better soon!

A few weeks ago I crossed over at 299.8, yes I realize a cracker would have put me back over but you know what, I was there! I was at 358 as my highest ever, 338 18 months ago and just worked on working on getting that number smaller. Today I'm closer to 290, and like you said never going back! Add me if you'd like-goes…

I worked an overtime shift Sunday into Monday which is totally opposite of my normal day time schedule and the following day always is rough. I didn't get a whole lot of sleep during the day but I managed to get a 60 minute walk in which was a bit more of a challenge than normal but it had to be done and I felt great for…

I have found that portions just keep getting smaller over time naturally or that I'm just eating less. Water or foods containing water certainly help too.

As long as it's not a guy, probably :) If I post them quick enough for it being Fawndam, yes :)

My favorite is when people say oh, didn't see you there. I'm 6'3 and nearly 300 pounds, really, you didn't see me? Actually it feels great to say nearly 300 pounds, I'm closer to 290 now, not used to that piece :)

My wife's name is Joy, Joy Noel actually, she would have been born on Christmas but was 6 weeks early. But yes, she gets Joyce all the time too. My grandmother was the worst offender as her best friend for 80 years was Joyce.

My niece is Jessica Erin, the first Jessica I've met that didn't have the middle name Lynn.

So close, Alexander here, but I prefer Alex :)

The part of about not sharing is true but you know, I've broken down a few times and shared things in an effort to give myself the total experience and help meet my goals. And yes, my FL is largely female which is fine as we're all here to support each other and be helpful. To me it's about the support and I know that I…

Can't help you with any of that but, I was in Portland in '06 for the Little League Softball World Series, got a chance to visit the city which was beautiful and a lot of fun. Also spent a night in some cheap hotel by the airport since I had a really early flight, that was my last memory of the city and eww :)

I have two fur covered little ones. The oldest is 16 pound orange domestic medium hair. He's got a checkup next week and will probably hear the same thing I have all my life, you need to lose more weight! He's lost two pounds this year so hopefully it won't be too bad. My other little guy is 180 pound St. Bernard. Pictures…

My update is this: I did just fine! Total for the festival meal including dessert was 623 calories, a bit higher than where I've been lately but still well under my allotted calories for the day so it all worked out. Football snacks turned into 600 calories as well and covered dinner. Still under as well. Overnight, just…
