  • I have told my mother, but I'm trying to motivate her to start moving, too. My husband is supportive. Other than that, I feel like I'll just wait and see when people start to notice the weight loss, because I'm determined to get to MY goal weight and keep it off. I don't really want other people's input either unless they…
  • I haven't been around because my computer crashed and it won't be fixed until Monday. I need to catch up. I've done okay this week....worked out 4 of 5 days, which was my goal. I've added some hand weights to the workouts and walks. I haven't made the greatest food choices, but I didn't go over calories. I think that I've…
  • I would check measurements and remember that depending on what time of the month it is, it could be water.
  • Dr.'s say that morning is the best time to workout...I forget all the reasons why? But it was on the Dr. Oz show a couple of months ago. I think that whenever you can fit a workout in is great, because it's better than no exercise at all! I try to workout when the kids are down for a nap, but sometimes it doesn't work out…
  • Hi, everyone! Welcome to all the new people in the group! I had some computer problems, yesterday, but all is well, now! I didn't lose any weight last week, but I'm pushing through (I figured that would happen). I'm going to try to get my 3 mile walk in, as well as some yoga stretch, today! Daisy-I also didn't lose weight…
  • I get this on my tv with the Cable ON DEMAND. I use it all the time....I did the CRUNCH Latin Dance, today! It is great, because it gives so much variety to choose from and I can usually find something to fit into the time schedule I have on any given day  !
  • Have you tried different spices and/or ways to cook your veggies? What about seasonal fruits (strawberries, any berries, melon)? Different kinds of lettuce or spinach salads, maybe? And maybe try one of those spritzer balsalmic salad dressings? Just some suggestions....I'm stumped by the limitation. One way I get my…
  • Thanks, everyone! The achilles soreness is something I think I did on Saturday with some high heels that I haven't worn since before I had the baby (they are pretty high). I'm going to try to get a walk in and some yoga, today. Don't feel so good about this week, but I AM pushing through! Daisy-The yoga did make me feel…
  • Nicole-Good luck on your WI! Shoppie- Glad you're back and focusing on the positive. Keep up the good work! I'm feeling better today! My achilles tendon was so sore yesterday that I only got in a light and slow walk. Today, I'm still being easy on it, but I got some yoga in and hoping to get in at least 1 mile (depends on…
  • pj05-I amped up my water in the first few days, because I didn't want to snack too much, but just get some lower calorie snacks or things with more fiber for meals to keep you full longer. You're off to a great start! So, I only got 2 miles in yesterday before the baby started crying. My achilles tendon is very sore today,…
  • I put in aerobics, low impact 4 however long! Good workout, even if u didn't get to finish!
  • I put my long term goal in, but I set mini goals for myself (weekly). They don't always have to do with the weight loss (i.e., my first goal was to exercise at least 30 min. every day). It has definitely helped my portion control to record the food I'm eating every day (I've even been able to snack more, just better…
  • Katie-Thanks for asking!!!! I lost 4 lbs.(woohoo!), because I realized the 2lbs. I had up there was from last year! It's been a hectic day so far, but I managed to get a walk in with the kids b4 it started to rain. I'll continue to try to walk 3 miles this week, but add 15-20 min. of something a little higher impact.
  • Awesome job, Stacey!!! Everyone-Great job on your progress!!!! My weigh-in is tomorrow and I'm nervous, even though I've done well this week. I'm used to feeling much better way before I see results. I have a banquet to go to, tonight, but I plan to still make good food choices. I can give myself a treat "here and there",…
  • I did the yoga with a program (CRUNCH Sexy Stretch on Comcast Cable ON DEMAND). My baby is 3 months old. If you put breastfeeding in the search box for food, it'll give you different options (so if you only nurse 1-2 x, you can use the 16oz. or 24 oz. option). Evening is my baby's cranky time, too...that's why I haven't…
  • Shoppie-I added 500 more calories onto my daily goals of calories, but I wasn't adding (subtracting it for the calories burned) it to my food. I didn't know it was there. My son is 3 months old, so he is still exclusively nursing, as well, but even though I wasn't adding it in food...it didn't seem to bother him this week.…
  • Katie- CONGRATS on 9 years! Go out...treat yourselves and celebrate(you've worked hard, too, to be able to enjoy yourself)! You're not old....my hubby and I celebrated 10 yrs. in December! I'm praying that the gov't can set aside ideological differences to agree on a workable budget, so people can get paid for the work…
  • Great job, Shoppie!!! Keep up the good work! So, I just found out on another post that there is a way to subtract the calories burned when breastfeeding, so I've actually been way under for my calorie goals, Yay!!!! But I don't want to mess with milk supply, so I need to eat a little more. I didn't get my 3 mile walk in,…
  • Thanks so much, because I didn't know you could add the breastfeeding. Yay!

  • I don't think it's so much being a SAHM (that is an obstacle to staying in shape) for me....more that I never have anyone to babysit, so I very seldom take the time for myself. I do find that being home makes me want to snack more, because I do feel isolated (even with some family around), but I'm doing much better with…
  • There's no place to add it. I looked as I am still nursing, but I just factored in the extra calories, like the previous poster said, to my daily calorie goals.

  • I'm Soni and I have 4 boys (8, 6, 2, and 3 month). I'm back here now, because I initially lost alot of weight post baby, but gained it all back in just the first few weeks after he was born. I'm nursing and can't restrict my calories the way I want to, but keeping to the calories I'm allotted to on here helps me to monitor…
  • Checkin' in today. Welcome to all the newcomers. I will get around to requesting you guys as friends (so far, I just get on this thread for support and updates). I got my 3 miles in + , today. I did so much better with the snacking, last night. I allowed myself one Nature's Valley sweet and crunchy granola bar and I drank…
  • Got my 3 miles in...Yay!!!! Thanks for the suggestions for the evening snacking. I'm going to get some popcorn (it stops me from endless snacking in the evening). Getting back on track with my exercising definitely makes me choose healthier food options. I just want to make sure I meet my exercise goals this week of at…
  • I did pretty good all day, but the evening is the worse for me, because I'm an evening snacker!!! I'm starting strong, today and pray I can get the kids to nap at the same time, so I can get my 3 miles in. Not weighing in until Sunday, though!
  • Hi, I'm a SAHM to 4 boys...8,6, 2, and 3 months. I joined before I got pg. with the baby, but I am committed to getting back at it. It's hard to fit a workout in sometimes because of the kids routines, but I'm going to keep trying to walk at least 3 miles every day (Leslie Sansone's 3 mile walk to start). I'll add and…
  • M y baby will be 3 months old and I just got back on here. I'm breastfeeding, too and DEFINITELY struggling with the sweet tooth. Way more belly fat to lose this time, so I'm determined to get to my goal-not just for the scale.
  • I'm in as well!
  • Congratulations and Way to Go!!!!!! Keep up the good work!
  • I look at all of it, but I am always over in my proteins. I just try to make sure there is alot of fiber in my carbs (no white bread, pasta, etc.). But I am a protein craving person..... what can I say?
