Vegetarian for 3 years. I tried vegan for several months but had a hard time with it. I try to cook vegan at home and am trying to cut waaaaay back on my dairy.

Good point! Our dog trainer said not to take our dogs running until they were a year old. And even then limit it to a mile or so.

I wouldn't have been able to run 5k without walking in 5 weeks. I followed the c25k program and needed every day. But I had never run before. I did do spinning, yoga, soccer, weights, etc but had a hard time with running. Had I pushed myself faster than the c25k program I think I would have ended up injured. Good luck!!! I…

I tried vegan eating for about 3 months. It didn't work for me (I swear I have mild OCD, I ended up with a borderline eating disorder and lost way too much weight). I switched back to vegetarian but am trying to really cut back on my dairy.

Just wondering, are you a power lifer or competitve with it? 100g of protein seems insane to me... but I don't eat meat at all so my views are a bit skewed.

My 7 year old boxer can keep up for 3-5 miles as long as it is cool outside. More than that and he can keep up but is over tired when we get home and still is lethargic the next day.

I was obsessed also. And got too thin for my frame. I actually fainted at work and finally had my wake up call. I quit MFP for several months, gained some weight and became a lot healthier. Not I only log 4-6 days a week. It works for me and I'm healthy :) It's hard though!

I make my own using skim milk (sometimes 2%). I love that I can make it as thick as I want, I can afford to use organic milk and it's so much cheaper.

Me too!

Good for you!!!! I started running with a free c25k app for my phone last April. I ran a half marathon in November and will run a marathon this October! I never ever thought I could run, I love it!

I eat a lot of beans, lentils, tofu, quinoa, hummus, etc. That being said, I still take a multi, raw, whole food vitamin that has 44% RDV so I'm totally sure I'm getting enough.

I like to add the recipes. It's amazing how much something like a tablespoon of oil can change the whole count.

I have the Big Book of Exercises for Women. It's awesome. Has all sorts of exercises and plans. It has helped me a ton!

I have either 1/2 cup plain no fat greek yogurt with berries/almonds/honey (about 210 cal), or an egg with toast and fruit (less than 200) or oatmeal with nuts/berries (300 calories), or an english muffin with peanut butter and jelly and fruit (300 calories).

Here is my .02... When I log my water intake I only "count" water and crystal lite. I do sometimes have coffee/tea/hot cocoa/soda and while those contain liquid/water I don't feel as hydrated after I drink those. When I have more than 8 cups of real water (maybe some crystal light/mio) I feel much better. I eat tons of…

I have PCOS without insulin resistance. I've had several m/c in the past two years but other than that and a long cycle don't have a lot of the traditional symptoms. I'm sorry you're also dealing with this :(

Costco- Quinoa, rolled oats, farro, apples, brussels sprouts, bell peppers, light english muffins, pretzel thins, sometimes mango, kiwi, organic soy milk, and junk for the dogs :)

It will take you a while to adjust but you'll be fine in a few weeks. Although once I got used to running outside I find the treadmill next to impossible. I hate it. Now I run outside no matter how cold it is.

I just have to say it... the people who eat nut butter by the spoon at the end of the night "just to eat exercise calories" blow my mind. Personally, I try not to have too huge of a deficit, but not eating back 100-300 calories shouldn't be a big deal. I find on some long workout days I am more hungry, so I eat more right…

I no longer buy or eat nuts, nut butters or any form of sweets. All are trigger foods and I can't stop.

I do find myself more flexible in my bikram class than I do in my other yoga classes. It takes a while to get used to it, but it is a fun change of pace. I'd say it's worth trying!

I wouldn't drink it just for fun or taste, it is a good source of sodium and potassium though. I do use it on long runs (over an hour). I mix 12 oz coconut water with 4 oz OJ and take that with me. I like it better than salt water (what I used to use) and it is less processed than sports drinks.

lol try her ripped in 30... ahhH!

Oatmeal with peanutbutter, blueberries and banana with a bit of cinnamon. Toaster waffle with nut butter and banana. Yogurt with berries and cereal.
-
I can't wait to try it!!!

Do you read nomeatathlete? I believe someone on there (not the author, but someone he interviewed a while ago, I believe) followed the diet. I remember him talking about how many bananas he eats in a day, it was crazy.

I wish I could be more help... my solution is to simply not buy the things I don't eat, since I do the shopping. When I was a veg'n we had eggs/cheese/milk in the house. Now that I eat vegan I won't buy those things any more therefore my husband no long eats them at home. He still loves cheesy things when we are out to eat…

I started running after a miscarriage. I felt really let down by my body so I wanted to use it to do something I could be really proud of. When people ask why I run I usually say "because it's cheaper than therapy".

A very old one of me and my baby boy! It takes him about a mile to settle in but he is the best running partner I could ask for! http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj166/VanHoeck/IMG_0342.jpg
