Or baked potato/sweet potato? Nuts? Nut butters on fruit? Advacado? Brown rice? Farro? Quinoa? Oatmeal? Fruit? Dried fruit? Yogurt? Cottage cheese? Beans?

How are you estimating your exercise calories? Are you eating them back?

Dairy cows aren't treated well at many dairies. Most eventually enter the food supply once dead. The produce a massive amount of waste and harm the envirnment. Many believe milk/dairy is not good for you anyways. After doing a lot of reading/research vegan actually makes a lot more sense than vegetarian.

Thankfully my husband will eat what I cook. I became vegetarian after reading several books and for a few months he would eat meat while we were out but not at home. Eventually he read the books I had laying around and he gave up meat also. I think I got pretty lucky :) I would have a really hard time having meat in my…

As a vegetarian the fact that it is a complete protein is something I really like about it. I LOVE the english muffins, both the plain and the raisin ones.

We had blog.fatfreevegan.com's smokey refried bean soup with tortilla chips. Cheap, super easy and awesome!

I like it for the caffeine... but it doesn't really do anything for me beyond that.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my first pregnancy at 12 weeks and my second at 6. I began running after my first miscarriage and it helped me so much. Good luck to you :)

13.1. I think anything less than 10k is a waste of my time since getting to a race would take me longer than it would to run it. I'm running my first full this fall though, I can't wait!!!

Grunty/smelly/veiny... not so hot. But I def think muscles look good!!!
-
I would do a combo of all the ones you have.

I did my first half last Nov, started running last April. My advice...Gu! Or something like it at least once during the race, try it on a practice run to see what works for you. Walk through the aide stations. Don't listen to music, focus on what you're doing and enjoy yourself. Don't take ibproufin within 48 hours of the…

I love JM! I don't have enough time for many of her videos anymore but they really changed my life.

I have yogurt with berries, an english muffin with an egg or peanutbutter, oatmeal or an omlette for breakfast. Lunch is usually left overs. Or I'll make a big pot of soup on the weekend to reheat for lunch. Or PB and J or egg salad.

If you are drinking because you are really thirsty I would get a check up with a MD. That much thirst doesn't seem normal.

I love the appetite for reduction cookbook. I've made almost everything in it and have loved most everything.

Edamame, roasted chick peas, sunflower butter with apples, luna bars, smoothie with hemp protein.

My first was 24:30ish, last June. My PR is 22:28 last October. I started running with c25k April '11.

Hi :) I'm 25, full time job at a hospital (at a desk) and part time student. Feel free to add me! I love to workout and do my best to eat real/not processed foods.

I've gradually built up from 3 days a week light cardio. I added in some videos and now run, cross train and lift. Now I work out an average of an hour/day 6 days week. That being said, I'm a firm believer that weight loss is really 80% diet, 20% exercise. Though tough work outs make me less prone to eat poorly.

Kale, collards, celery, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, green beans... I could go on forever :)

I use the skinny taste tropical green smoothie a few mornings a week and add in hemp protein powder. 1 banana, 1 cup pineapple, 3/4 light coconut milk, 3/4 greek yogurt, 2 cups spinach, 2 tablespoons coconut flakes, ice, 2 tablespoons hemp protein powder. Makes 2 servings.

Rice and beans! There are endless variations and dried beans area cheap. Or lentil or pea soup.
-
I love the fake meats but try really hard to stay away from all of the soy based ones. We do still eat them, but only a few times a month. I try to stick to tofu, tempeh, beans and seitan as my main "meat" substitutes.

Nothing sweat stained. Or not washed from last time.

I agree the prices are off, but I will say we spend a lot less on groceries now than we did when we are a lot of processed foods. It's also important to buy produce in season, that makes a big difference. For example, I don't drink soda any more, so money saved. I used to buy frozen snack things, like those hot prezels and…

Appetite for Reduction is an AWESOME low cal, low fat vegan cookbook.

Agreed with the above that b12 is the only thing you simply cannot get as a vegan. Other than that more and more research is saying that a plant based diet is super healthy!
-
Do you eat dairy? Greek yogurt and cottage cheese are protein rich. I also use hemp protein powder in my morning smoothies. Or edamame as a snack? Roasted chick peas? Peanutbutter?

I love mine and would do it over again in a heartbeat. I'm 2 years post op, went from a 34A to a 32D.
