holygoshgirl!!! I WOULD NOT even recognize you in the before pic! You've come such a long way! You should be proud of yourself! I know I'm proud of you!

I was at a restaurant recently that had a grilled PB, banana, and bacon sandwich. I was intrigued but def didn't have the cal allowance for the meal to be able to try it.

I compared the military body fat calculator and their original... a difference of 10% body fat! Seriously?! I don't really have much other advice for you though. Hope someone else has some input :)

I'm less than 2 weeks out from my marathon and I think I like this advice here. I was also wondering what to do food wise. :)

Running in and of itself will not promote much weight loss, but it can speed it up if you pair it with a healthy diet, but the more you do it, the more efficient your body becomes, and the less cals burned doing it. A broad variety of activity is really the way to go. My cross and strangth training isn't my focus right now…

Thanks everyone!!! I'm holding on to those jeans from the first pic. I can't wait to put them back on once I reach goal!!!

It may only be a 10lb loss but I think your body composition changed and you lost fat and gained muscle! Those pics from Jan to March show a HUGE difference! Congrats!

Yep! I've met two, but have a few others that I've really bonded with, we are all planning to run a half marathon together later this year :)
-
yeah... but I like to think of it as a healthy addiction!

Doing my first triathlon this summer! Kind of excited and nervous. What in the heck have I gotten myself into!?

I had something like this a few weeks ago. Pain in my butt/hip during a recovery run after a half marathon. I rested it for several days, did cross training, and stretched it out like a mofo. I still know it's there, but it's not to the same extent as before. Strength training of the core muscles, glutes and hip…

Just now had a chance to see this post. Lookin' good T! You are truly an inspiration!

I have looked into this MDI marathon before and am glad to hear your thoughts. Maybe one day I'll fit it in :) I'm running my first marathon in a few weeks (Country Music Marathon April 28), but on the bucket list (if I ever get the nerve to train for another) are Big Sur, Catalina Island, MDI, Boston...

That's some good advice there :) I'm still figuring my own self out, so I can't help much, but I figure slightly over fueling is better than underfueling. Running my first 17 miler tomorrow, so it's still a work in progress!

I have compression socks I wear after long runs. I have been thinking about getting a pair of compression sleeves for use during long runs, so I can still wear my usual wicking socks.

I am running my first marathon for a cause: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital This is the first time I've ever done a race or walk for charity. I have friends that do them every year, like the 3 day, or light the night, or relay for life. I donate when I can, and hope that others do the same for me. I can't say that I…

I ran 115.4 miles this month, all time high AND in only 29 days!

I have over a gig of music on my running playlist and I just keep adding to it... it's like 24 hours worth. Let's see... Eminem - Till I Collapse, One shot 2 shot, Lose yourself, yellow brick road B.O.B - Magic, So good BEP - Pump It David Guetta - Sexy Bit.., titanium, turn me on Dropkick Murphys - dirty water, shipping…

I will chug about 4 oz at a time, just to get it in. I also find it quenches my thirst better this way. As long as you aren't chugging a gallon at a time I don't see anything with chugging it periodically, if you need to get in more water. :)

I have hypothyroidism/hashimoto's and I've managed to lose 72lbs so far. So it IS possible.

Beautiful pics! I too live in the Southeast and this winter has been relatively mild compared to the last few... in fact, I've been a bit disappointed as the lowest temp I've had to endure was 25 degrees! Haha... My 15 miler on Friday was in 67 degree humidity. It was at that point I realized that while we may get one,…

I would say the journey is a lifelong process. It is not over until we stop breathing. We all got overweight/obese for a reason, whether it was lack of exercise and/or overeating, and those are habits that do not die easily. I can only hope that by years and years of making the right choices and continuing to move my body…

******************UPDATE**************** So it's been about 2 months now and I LOVE the contacts for running. Wore them today for 15 miles and didn't even know they were there! I haven't gotten used to them for long hours though, and I'm not sure I'll be an everyday, all-day contact lens wearer, as I get headaches after…
