Bump. I have a Charge HR. Yes, i input time of exercise to MFP, but I found that it was inputting the calorie burn from runkeeper/mfp to the fit bit, when I thought it should use whatever cals fitbit said I burned during that time frame. For example, I log all my runs on runkeeper, which then uploads it to mfp (currently I…

MPW? ***15-25 miles What's your favorite distance? ***6-10 miles Brand of shoes? ***Brooks Indoor or outdoors? ***Outdoors ONLY! I very rarely get on the dreadmill! Music or no music? ***Music sometimes. I'm perfectly able to knock out 15 miles without it though. But sometimes it makes it more enjoyable to zone out to some…

I SO needed to see this today! First off.... you look great! Secondly... I'm in the same boat. I've been maintaining a 65-70 # loss for 10 months now, even though I'm about 25lbs from where I want to be. Thanks for helping me with some perspective, and good luck with your Tri training!! I did one last year, they are…

I might have to try this one!

Sounds to me like you are doing everything right! Especially the part of making sure your docs support your fitness/eating regimen. I can only hope that when it comes time for me to expand my family that I'll stick with the healthy active plan as you have. Have a wonderful rest of your pregnancy, I'm sure you're going to…

This, but I don't like flavored creamer. My preference is good quality coffee with a tbsp of half & half. Perfecto!

GIrl, I feel like we're wearing the same shoes! I've been on a plateau for the past 7-8 months, gaining/losing the same 5-10 lbs. I want to start losing new weight! Since I've been at this weight for the past 7-8 months I have gotten used to my new body, and learned to love it, but I still feel like I need to drop another…

Daily Multi Calcium Biotin Protein powder - when my daily intake isn't enough (VegaOne - I try to avoid soy because of thyroid issues) BCAAs - recently added this because I'm doing a lot more weight/strength training

I like to run too. Strike that... I LOVE to run. Running doesn't always love me though, lol.

How exciting for you Ben!! I have never done it, but I have several friends who have, and loved it. I hear it is a great course, experience, everything. I think one of the potential issues is weather, I know a few friends who ran it in snow/ice/freezing weather, although I'm sure that is not the norm. Happy running!!

Thats wonderful!!! Congrats!

January - Hot chocolate 15k March - possibly a women's 5k that might become my annual tradition. April - Trail Half Marathon Yep, that's it so far. I raced A LOT this year and I'm trying to keep my race schedule a bit lighter this year so I don't get burned out.

My sister ran up until the week before she gave birth. Prior to pregnancy she was running 3-4 miles 3-4x per week and that's what she kept up. Granted she did slow down a bit. She was so funny, after her last run before becoming a mom she called me and said, "I decided I needed to start acting like a pregnant lady." I know…

I moved to the Atlanta area (Marietta) about 5 years ago when I graduated from PA school. (I grew up in the FL panhandle and went to school in Mobile, AL). It definitely has it pros and cons, and I'm not sure I'm going to be here forever. It's true what they say though, it's full of transplants, and the majority of people…

I'm in! (and way scared!)

I ran my first peachtree last year. I won't be running this year as I'll be working, but I will be taking a peek at the crowds and those running up cardiac hill from the windows of piedmont hospital! I didn't think cardiac hill was that bad, but because I started in corral T, with a start time of 8:46 it was insanely hot!…

I was diagnosed with hashimoto's last year by an endocrinologist. Since I was recently married and of childbearing age, he told me that as soon as I was pregnant I needed to increase my current dose by 2 pills/ week and make an appt to be seen for blood work asap. Your baby does not make its own thyroid hormone, and your…

No experience here, but I'm interested if there is any response.

I ran a marathon 3 weeks ago. I did a warrior dash yesterday. Two entirely different experiences for sure, but you know what, my quads are screaming worse today than they did after 26.2!!! Go for it! You'll be glad you did!

I agree! I'm not a member of the ATC, but I've been thinking about it. I also think the BGR has a great presence in the area. Good luck with the move!!

This is exactly what I do... although every now and then, when I am really pushing my limits, I'll take a few breaths IN though my nose, and OUT through my mouth. The reason being sometimes this can slow your heart rate... I just find it allows me to push through hard spots for several strides before returning to my usual…

Everybody is different. I started running at the very beginning, wehn I was around 255. I am now 180 and still running... albeit much more efficiently and faster. It seems like most of the advice here is good. -start slow, avoid doing too much too soon -listen to your body -properly fitted shoes -cross training/strength…

must. try. this. I will sometimes put just a tiny bit of jam or apple butter or granola and mix it up. Yummy! I'm loving all these ideas though!
