Two pounds a week is not slow going. That rate of loss is very difficult to maintain for any long period of time. Look at the percentage of weight loss instead of the actual number. (you've lost 50# so run with this) 1% of 230# is 2.3# 1% of 180# is 1.8# The lower you go, the slower it'll get. Plus, you're adding muscle…

Uh, yeah. BEST. FEELING. EVER.

No worries! It's muscle that you're adding. That'll weigh more, yet take up less room. Remember - Strong is the new Skinny!

http://runkeeper.com/user/dahill1973 Really enjoy RunKeeper! Going to be doing a 5K in April & http://www.beachtobayrelay.com/ in May. I've been doing a lot of gym work lately & missed running. I need help & motivation to get back at it.

My spouse works offshore rotation schedule. He's gone two weeks, home one. I have two teenagers in the house, so they are very self-reliant, but bring their own challenges. He's been traveling for the last 2-1/2 years. I can say, it does get easier. The suggestions about friends is dead-on. I have a tendency to "hermit"…

Low-carb works for me. I've never felt faint or light headed and I work out with a personal trainer four days a week. The key is what carbs you eat. Obviously, if you low-carb or not, cut out all white flour products, white rice, white pasta, sugar and sugary syrups, cakes, cookies, etc. This is smart no matter what. When I…

The journey of 100 lbs begins with the first step, and you just took it. Welcome to MFP!

Those days are the best! Confidence makes everyone look better. Way to go!

Be wary of the sugar free. Really read those labels. Many times, calorie-wise, you're better off shooting for the real thing (cream) and using less of it then looking for a sugar-free syrup if you must have the flavor. I love me some flavored creamer, but the trade-off isn't worth it.
