mmmm.. I love avocado. For a quick guacamole I buy fresh, pre-made pico from Whole foods and mix in with mashed avocado. Use in wraps or as a dip for veggies etc. Another great recipe is green goddess dressing using lowfat mayo or veganaise, avocado, green onion and garlic to taste and a dash of milk or almond milk.. play…

I quit cold turkey as well. When I get the craving I eat a juicy piece of fruit or make a smoothie with frozen banana and almond milk.

Try a smoothie! Freeze a few banana's and use those as your base then add in almond milk and whatever else you like. I also like homemade guacamole or humus with sliced cucumbers. Another comfort foods is mashed cauliflower. You won't even know it's cauliflower! Steam the cauliflower and add in a dash of salt, pepper and…

Spread them out during the week. The idea is to do the program 3 times a week with a day of rest (no running but can do other exercise) in between. So when the program says day 1 do that one first and then move forward during the week. Hope that helps!

I did a 28 day detox. It shouldn't really be called a detox, since it's unlike the 'cleanses' you normally hear about. It was basically a month of eating clean and ditching the foods that cause cravings and stomach issues, like sugar, alcohol, dairy, grains and caffeine. After 28 days you slowly add in each item to see how…

Last October I was fed up with feeling like crap all the time. Tired, cranky, acid reflux, upset stomach.. you know the 'senior' ailments. I am 44 and at the time weighed 239, an all time high. My local Whole Foods had a couple of folks there who had FREE cooking classes, except they didn't really 'cook'. It was RAW food…
