I went to the library and they have a used book sale once a week and found some good low-calorie recepies. The older the better. As we progress into to the future, we're eating a lot of things that aren't as good for us as healthy old homestyle cooking.

I have dairy issues... I can do things like cheese and sometimes yogurt and it's not too horrible if I have cereal as long as I don't drink the milk that's left over. Icecream in small amounts isn't bad either. But, heavy creams used for mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, some icecream and stuff like that, just about kills…

If it's the weight on your knee that bothers it maybe try a flat stationary bike, where your knees are out in front of you, with low resistance instead of an upright one where you'd be pushing down with your knees... If it's the bending that bothers it, maybe low impact tredmil might be ok in short intervals. I'm not sure…

When I put that in over 4 hours it said like 1100 calories. there's not way I burnt that many!

I don't think they should loose custody. That will only make the child depressed and more likely to eat more but I think the parent and child should go to counseling and a nutritionist. Chances are the child isn't getting the good foods it needs if it's that big.

you may even be able to find lower calorie jellies or jams too.

I use brown sugar. it's only 15 calories for a teaspoon. I know that's not very much. It's around 50 calories for a tablespoon of jelly or jam. I use to like grape jam in mine when I was little.
