  • A friend of mine is a personal trainer. She said you need to eat 1200 calories per day for your body to function properly and lose weight heathily. Less than that and you start losing mucsle not fat. I aim for 1200 calories and don't tend to include what I have exercised off, although this does get included sometimes.
  • I've been like that about swimming. I was going 4 times a week. Such a natural high
  • Cheese, Vodka, Alcoholic Ginger beer and Vodka. My cigarettes are my sanity tool so not a vice.
  • Hello, I'm in Islington and work in Islington which is good as I now fit in an hour's walk to and from work a day....the bad thing? It hasn't helped the lbs drop off...... I joined MFP in June (I think) but I lost some motivation and put some lbs back on, now working towards my target again
  • Hello I'm not new, I joined in June, but I went away for a while and came back. Welcome.....from London
  • Hi and thank you. Yes, I have found this website very useful, especially when eating what I thought was someting healthy but it turns out to have a massive amount of calories.
  • Thanks everyone for the answers. They are all helpful and have given me something to think about. Today was a good day and I've so far managed to keep to my calorie goal....But it's only half 6 in the evening here. It's the late night snacking that's been m weakness over the last few weeks.
  • Hey, I like this idea. Is there a thread for it on the forum somewhere? If not you should start one, I'll join deffo. The 17 day challenge.
  • It may be that your body is turing the fat into muscle. I found at first I didn't lose any weight but I did tone up. It took a while before i noticed any weight coming off. muscle is heavir than fat so you may find you're feeling better and toning up first. Don't pressure yourself too mcuh, just keep doing what you're…
