The end of September is almost upon us and I’ve lost the grand total of 700g 😂 but I did it without any real focus, so that’s kinda nice? Still chasing 85kgs -> probably end of October. Figuring out how to make exercise fit into my new schedule with my new job
-
I’ve done it! Or close enough that I’ve lost 10% of my original body weight. So I’m chasing the next mini goal of 85kgs. My weight loss has slowed some, so realistically I’m looking at end of September beginning of October for that 🙂 really really pleased

I think too as social media took over fb and reddit people found groups of other social folk there were groups they could join on the thing they were already on. People are inherently lazy (not in a nasty way) and things that are easy or convenient get used most

Your bum might change shape and none of your underwear will stay put…… you may have to figure out which shape underwear will now suit 🤷♀️
-
I’m really grumpy that as my weight goes down a 40min run burns fewer calories!
-
But I didn’t even post my next mini goal 🤦♀️ If I get below 88.3 I’ve lost 10% of my weight, so that’s my next micro goal ( 2-3 weeks) and then my next mini goal is to be under 85kgs. I think it would be a push to get there before my next drs appointment in 6 weeks but if I go in weighing 86ish I will still be very happy

Back in June I was hoping to get under 90kgs. Had a stressful week last week and didn’t make it to the gym (where the scale is) and this week I’ve skipped 90 altogether and am into the 89s! I’ve not been at this weight since 2022 but helpfully kept some of the clothes from then which are starting to fit again 😊😊 Trucking…

Uber eats lets you order smaller orders from supermarkets, so it’s pretty easy to have things delivered now. I also carry protein powder and a shaker for those days when the food options around me aren’t great

I too have a Drs appointment this week and my Dr is so supportive and kind and really makes me feel heard so I’d like to make her proud! I’ve been inconsistent with exercise the past few weeks (covid got me again and whilst not unwell I have been fatigued) but my weight has been slowly trending down so I’m hoping to be…

Could you afford to pop down to your local charity/second hand shop? You don’t need stuff to be in amazing condition cause you’ll shrink out of it in a couple of weeks or months. Even $20 could get you two pairs of jeans or pants that actually fit and a top or two (sometimes more if they are having a sale). It’s nice not…

Yesterdays jog started as a slog, and it was not the most pleasant! However, I really settled into it around the middle and over shot my 5mins at the end. 5mins where I almost didn’t notice I was running! Crazy!
-
Boom! Today at the gym 94.9, so I guess the next goal is 90kgs! Really happy with the progress. I’ve been doing well too with running twice a week and two gym sessions.

I went for a jog on Thursday. I had no pressing places to be so it was meant to be a nice slow run. It felt so easy, and nice, and I did it with great pace (for me!)

I had cake for breakfast, which made me feel kinda ick, and ended up grabbing KFC for a quick salty lunch. The NSV is that a small fries and some chicken was enough, and it’s not a spiral that’s going to ruin my weekends calories 🙂
-
Actually the scale at the gym says I’m 95.6 this morning. So goal one isn’t so far 😊
-
I’ve had a really long period of stable weight, or just bouncing around the same few kgs. Then earlier this year the stability ended and I’m back up again. Two weeks ago I recommitted to my healthier habits, so my first mini goal is 95kgs. My weekly goal is also two gym sessions and to run home from work twice
-
5lbs sounds like a good mini goal to me. At a lb a week it sounds very possible too
-
@VeebsKale - you know Mikki recommends no more than 5 in a fortnight right? Nice to find another PMSF-er on MFP though!
-
Well 7 weeks left and I’m I’m down 2.4 kgs with 2.6 to go to meet my goal. It will certainly make xmas day swimming more comfortable having lost some more weight 😊

A few weeks ago I tried on a bunch of tops and bottoms and none of them fit. Too big for the 12 and too small for the 14 and nothing fit and I left the shop upset about my body. However, I still desperately need work clothes so yesterday while shopping for other things I was brave and tried on other things. I’m a 14 in…

There are 10 weeks till the end of the year, just ten weeks left of 2023. I would like to lose 5kgs by then to clock in at 85kgs I would be close then to tipping over from obese to just overweight then and would be on a good footing to start 2024

Love this! I think as we settle into longer term weightloss the food that surrounds us tends to be better for us and less calorific so even if we have what we perceive to be a slip up it’s so much easier to course correct.

What an interesting idea! I can’t face the thought of nothing but fish for 3 days, and I find oil-er fish can irritate my tummy a little bit. I had extreme acid reflux when younger (inherited from my Dad and nana) but it’s mostly under control now by eating better and losing weight but one portion of oily fish is my limit.…

@EliseTK1 one of the Amazing ladies on here is in her 60s and spent most of her 40’s obese. I think she’s been at or under her goal weight around 2 years and says even now, 2 years later her lose skin is still tightening up! So hang in there, as over time it might become more firm again 😊

I’ve moved over to the Reddit forum loseit- it’s as busy /varied topics as mfp used to be 6 years ago or so

@VanessaFaith your face looks like a whole different person! Congrats on hanging In there and sticking with it 😊

my nutritionist has some recipes for bakes (like baked oats) that all have protein powder in them - so I think you are safe :)

@stacie_gourlay_1993 good news it only took me 8kgs/18lbs to reverse my fatty liver. It can totally be done and a few hard months of work and you’ll be healthier for it!

If it’s not loading for you you might be able to get some of your money back?
-
@mrschwarten maybe you aren’t getting enough protein at lunch?
