I know switching up the way I'm eating will take time for my body to adjust to. I'm not so much complaining that I haven't lost any weight in 3 weeks, but more I just want to make sure what I'm doing is what I should be doing. I know my sodium has been high, that's one reason why I track it. I've been doing little things…

Barreria, technically I have been netting an average of 1300ish (see my OP). I was just concerned since that is almost 600 below my BMR and I've been seeing posts that say you should eat BMR. I just want to make sure I'm doing this right, but I am probably just being impatient. Not giving up or anything. I'll just keep on…

I eat lower carb because I am insulin resistant. For the carrots, you have to pay attention to how many ounces I had (not what is in parenthesis). I had basically 1 oz, which is 1/3 of a serving, which is about 4 baby carrots. It was on my salad :)

A banana, mayo and bologna sandwich. My aunt made me. She swears she loves them (with pickles on them too I think). It wasn't horrible, but never again.

I'm thinking I didn't have it tight enough, although I tried to tighten it in the pool. Even tried to wear it high on my chest. Next time I will try it VERY tight and see how that goes. It's nice to know that some people have success :)

Bumping my own post...lame lol

400 over probably didn't even get you to a maintenance level for that DAY let alone for the week.

This is what I have. I think it was $25 at walmart.

You just need to get an accurate digital scale. I can step on mine 5 times in a row and get the same number. Analog scales can be just as inaccurate as some digital scales. I've had both and prefer digital.

I had this experience with Kraft Mac n Cheese. I never ate it much to begin with (always made homemade) but every once in a while I'd get a craving and it would taste so good. A few months ago I got a craving for it after not having it for over 2 years probably, and it just tasted blah and fake. I threw it out.

I would get an HRM or something similar. I always thought MFP estimates were pretty close. I thought with me being heavier, that's why it always said I was burning high amounts of calories. Well I got an HRM and MFP can be as much as 300 calories off!! Not cool. I wasn't eating all of my exercise calories back either,…

I'm pretty much doing all of these and didn't have to buy or read a book lol

Don't stress too much, but if you get on the scale tomorrow and it goes up, it's most likely water weight from the sodium of the pizza.

If you don't feel you can do low carb, but are concerned about how many carbs you are eating, then go for lower carb. I get about 100g/day and focus on fruits and vegetables with a few lower carb substitutions for tortillas, bread and baking mix. It works well for me and others I know. You just have to find what works for…

When ever I get out of Plus size clothing, I'm going to be so lost on what stores to go to! I've NEVER shopped in the skinny stores and don't know anything about them. It's always been Fashion Bug, Lane Bryant and at one point, Catherines :(

I like the sara lee bread because it's low carb. 9 net carbs per 2 slices of bread (4g of fiber). So when I really want bread (maybe once a week, or once every two weeks) I get some out of the freezer and eat it.

Just shave or use nair :) Be careful with the nair though because chemical burns suck in that area lol

Quest chocolate protein bar is what I had today. Usually it's a protein shake or a protein bar. On weekends I will make eggs.
-
The frozen raw meat has quite a bit of sodium too.

They come and go in the grocery store I go to. Probably depends on what's seasonal. I didn't pay attention last week when I went to the store.

Quest protein bars not only taste good, but are the most nutritious I've found. Not loaded down with sugar. I love the chocolate, chocolate peanut butter, cinnamon, peanut butter supreme and mixed berry bliss. Protein shake--Optimum nutrition 100% whey. I've only tried the double rich chocolate but it's yummy and no clumps!

Get the spreadable fruit. The kind where only fruit and fruit syrup are listed. That way all the sugar in it is coming from fruit instead of being added. No reason to use reduced fat peanut butter if your daily allowance for fat allows it. The reduced fat kind has more sugar and probably other additives anyway.

Protein shake. What about steak? Or chicken? Who says breakfast has to be traditional breakfast food?

Awesome list!

Beans are your friend. Meat on sale. If you're going to use it immediately or freeze it, look for the manager's specials. Bananas. Seasonal fruit. Vegetables in their natural state (not prepackaged or precut). Some people say the farmer's markets are cheaper. Whole chicken. Rice. Oats in bulk (not the little instant…
