Richmond here as well! Thankful I'm going to be doing a video tonight instead of anything outside :noway:

Thank you for posting!

Sounds like a VERY reasonable goal, Aaron! So, not to sound stupid, but what is cyclocross?

JUST finished day 1 (Level 1- with the "modified" versions, where available). Already took an Advil as I finished about 30 minutes ago and some of my muscles are still twitching. :blushing: At least I know it's working!

Hi Aaron! CONGRATULATIONS on getting to BS6!!! I actually tried to sign up for another FPU class recently, but it seems everyone in my area is taking the summer off, so maybe in the fall... You clearly have dedication and discipline so I'm sure you'll be able to meet ANY goals you set! Do you have a time goal for the 15…

Hope you are doing well with your physical and financial goals! I'm back from all of my excursions- nothing terribly excited on the horizon at this point  BUT- I should be able to start buckling down on the weight loss and exercise now!!!! I should be getting 30 Day Shred from Netflix in the next couple days so my…

I saw this at a half marathon I volunteered at- initially thought the lady had fallen until I noticed 1) where the "muddy" area was and 2) she skipped the beverages, medals, etc and went STRAIGHT to the potties. Felt bad for her, but even worse for those behind her!

At least for me, I find that I usually get the urge to use the bathroom within about 20-30 minutes of eating. So, I make a point of waking up early enough to eat and eliminate BEFORE I run. However, my sister frequently skips breakfast and finds that she has to eliminate during runs. She's gone just about everywhere- in…

Hey, at least you are still staying busy! I've just been lazy!!! I'm definitely fighting the "why try to pick up the exercise now since I'm going to be leaving again in 2 1/2 days"... Downside is that after a weekend of eating (Greek Festival on Saturday and amusement park on Sunday), I'm already up 2-3 pounds again…

Haha- I hear you- I need to get back into running, or really just any kind of regular activity. We ran around a fair amount while on vacation, but we definitely ate more than we walked (always a sign of a good vacation, right?) I figure my activity will resume when I get back from Chicago. Then I can really buckle down and…

Hey- Hope your past week has gone smoothly! Vegetable gardens are always nice, as long as they produce! Mine is steadily growing, but no produce yet (other than the herbs). I'm up about 3 lbs, but considering how much I've eaten between Vegas and Memphis, I need to be thankful that it's only 3!!! I have about a week and a…

And, for clarification, the "it" is fall off the wagon. Rededicating and watching the calories/coins is NOT easy (but still worth it!)

Its definitely easy to do, but- tomorrow is a new day! You CAN and WILL do it!

I usually get a couple of the smaller bags of ice and add them as the water is filling. Stinks to climb in, but I just take a deep breath and go for it. As the other poster said, I normally wear a sweatshirt, but I also go for a hat, a cup of hot tea and I normally wear compression shorts (mentally helps me feel like my…

Love this recipe! I've also blended in peanut butter (with the chocolate) to make a quick chocolate peanut butter pie. As you said, it's not the same as fruit, but it's a nice compromise for people who aren't as concerned about healthy options.

Ok, so moment to celebrate the little things. I'm still fudging with my FPU program a little b/c DR would NOT condone me taking vacations (even with leftover budget money) while I still have credit card debt, but... I am. Anyway, I went out this weekend and did a little shopping for some clothes to take on the trips.…

How's your week going? I'm still struggling with needs vs wants with my budget this week  Some weeks it feels easy, and then there's all the other times.... Oh well, at least I'm limited as to how much I can indulge (no credit cards will do that to a girl!) Doing ok on the exercise- got my weights in Wednesday morning…

Yes, both of the goals are difficult, but that's what makes them worth pursuing, right? We'll be better as a result of achieving the goals and we'll REALLY appreciate them when we get there! (At least this is what I keep telling myself...) Sorry about the weight gain- it's just a temporary setback, but I understand it can…

Happy birthday to your BF! Hope y'all had a great day! I wish I could say I stayed on track, but I'd be lying. I was completely lazy last week, and am not off to a great start this week. I'm going to try to get in 4 workouts (at least 1 run, 2 days of weights and something to fill in the other day- plus probably some…

Sounds like a soup my grandmother makes (Weight Watchers Soup), but healthier... Her recipe calls for a bunch of canned products instead of fresh. Whatever effects it might have, it's very good- especially with corn bread

Hi Joe! CONGRATS to you and Teresa!!!! Sounds like you guys have worked hard and remained dedicated to DR- and one another (35 years is no easy feat) I was just having the "I need to get back on the FPU bandwagon" talk with myself earlier today. I've found myself using my debit card a little more than normal lately…

My goal is to weigh the same at the end of the month as the beginning (2 mini-vacations planned during the month, so no doubt it will fluctuate during the month)!
-
I use an Excel spreadsheet so I can analyze by distance, pace, etc. Granted, my times haven't improved, but......

bumping for suggestions!

Depending how much space you are talking about, any chance spanx will help?

Sounds good!

Thankfully his follow-up visit went much better than expected! His primary care vet didn't see a need for him to have a consultation with a surgeon (back issues), so I'm thrilled that he thinks it's something we can manage with medication. I've also called an animal chiropractor/acupuncturist to see if that might be…

Egads- I think my first goal is trying to maintain my level of sanity- haha! Congrats on the good weekend- sometimes it's nice to get the break from worrying about the budget and the weight!!! Of course, when I don't worry about the weight, I end up going WAY over my calories, but I still think it's good for the soul- as…
