  • The MFP calories burned are about 35% higher than the HR sensors on the machines in the gym. I always change them to reflect the gym equiment. I am told by the gym staff though that these are rough estimates based on hight, weight and heart rate and are not 100% accurate. I am considering buying a HRM but not sure if they…
  • I think this is a great post. Thank you Cindy for starting it! For me, I am completely self concious and lack self esteem, to the point where if my bf says he doesnt like what I am wearing, I take that as a personal slur on my appearance, character, everything. We almost split up over it once. I do things with friends, I…
  • We've all done it. Don't worry about the weigh in, just stick at it regardless. Good luch x:laugh:
  • Know what you mean, I am scard, although I have a way to go before my clothes are falling off. But they are starting to feel loose. I have been saying this to my friend. We have planned a day just to try new clothes, not buy them. We have decided that once we know the correct size we will plan a shopping trip. I know it…
  • Doesnt sound like you were very far away from being able to do 5K (half a mile or so). Assuming you can still do a 12 minute mile with a break I think you should be fine. Take it easy build up slowly over the next couple of weeks, should be fine. Of course everyone is different but I would surprised if you dont manage it.
  • I like tesco Mouthwatering Melon. They are small tubs of fresh Melon, 1 of your 5 a day and only 29 calories per pack. They're really tasty and they really take the edge of your hunger.
  • Are you logging food accurately? If you are and your net calories are as guided by MFP, then I think you need to speak to your GP or dietition. There may be a medical reason why your not loosing weight.
  • ok ill do that
  • Maltesers 37g bag is only 187 calories - its more than the other reply's but you feel like you have had a good dose of proper chocolate. Make sure you only buy the small indiviual bags though, if you're anything like me you could easily polish off a family sized bag and not even notice.
  • I would take plenty of fruit for the journey, and snacking between meals. Try to get some execercise each day, so that you offset some of the calories (have you got some activity planned?). Also small portions, if you cant control what you eat, thenI would try to controlv how much I eat. Above all have a great time and get…
  • I'm no doctor, but I would say if you have been on less than 1000 calories per day for a year, you have almost starved yourselft, and now that you are eating a more appropriate amount you are storing it, as you have probably trained your body to think it is not going to be properly fed and will need some excess reserves…
