I have hit a few low spots in my weight loss journey.. Started my journey at 189 and got down to 162 only to gain it all back and then some in under 7 months. So the weight gain was the first low spot.. The second low spot with my exercising.. Seems that no matter how much I say I am going to work out, I never seem to..…

When I first started losing weight again this year, I was so busy that I didn't have time to properly workout. I lost all 9lbs by watching what I was eating and also watching portion sizes. As one of the other posters wrote, you have to be diligent about making sure you are eating within calorie range and logging in. Many…

I purchased this dvd at Target. The dvd also recommends a mat as well as handweights.

Hi Cindy! I am currently looking to lose a few more pounds than you are but have found MFP to be a helpful tool. A key to success, I have found, is to eat things in moderation. You don't have to take away everything that you like, but just eat it in moderation. I found that not only counting calories but also watching…

Welcome to MFP! I am currently eating 1200 calories a day as well. It is working for me, but it can also be a bit of a challenge. I eat most if not all of my exercise calories. I am also 5' 4" but have about 50 lbs to lose. Feel free to add me as a friend.

Hi! Welcome to MFP! I have been using the site on and off for a year. Decided at the beginning of this year that having the friends on MFP was the best choice I have made. Feel free to friend me..

I had the Lasik eye surgery done about 4 years ago. I am very happy that I had gotten it done and wish I had done it sooner. I spent years wearing contact lenses until I started having an allergic reaction to the lenses. I was going to the optician every 6 weeks because I would get a reaction, get it cleared up, wear my…

I am 5' 4" tall and my heaviest weight was 200 lbs. I am currently down to 181lbs. Worse time for me was realizing that as a firefighter, adding in the weight of my gear (25lbs) to my current body weight was actually not allowing me to be as productive as I know that I can be in search and rescue functions.

Feel free to add me! I am in the lower range of the age and have 30 - 40 pounds but the more friends one has the more motivation and encouragement you receive!

Mine is open to friends. Feel free to add me!

Hi Angie. I agree with this. Take it one day at a time. Feel free to add me for support and motivation as well.

I have the same goals! I also just want to be in a healthy BMI range. In terms of my firefighter training, I want to be able to do 3 rounds of airpak endurance testing and not be as winded as some of the guys are after 2 rounds. Heck I don't want to use up a full tank of air within 30 minutes...

I am 5ft 4 inches and am currently looking at losing 50lbs or more. I currently have lost 3lbs this month.. All that I have talked to say weigh yourself the same time of day, same conditions and try to follow the same routine every time you weigh yourself. Don't get discouraged! Feel free to add me!

Welcome to MFP! I turned 30 in December and like you didn't want to look and feel the way I did. The support on here has been really helpful and all the encouragement that I have received has helped as well. I started with MFP last year and tried to do it on my own without the support. I am trying again and this time have…

Not only picking the same day of the week to weigh yourself, but the same time and the same conditions. Don't give up! Also add me as a friend, if you would like. Keep working hard!
