The Depo shot made me bloat, retain....everything. I gained a least 20 lbs over the course of the 6 years I was on it. I decided to come off the shots when I started to develop dark facial hair. I'd say it has it's advantages, but trying to get the weight back off after you quit the shot is the hard part.
