I'm afraid I can't add any advice, I'm stuck in the same sort of rut... Lost 2lb week 1, another 3lb week 2, then gained 1lb and been stuck there for about 4 weeks now. I'll admit there seems to be a lot of sugars nearly every day, and not being consistent with exercise which I'm really working on now, but would like some…

Amazing results for 12weeks, you obviously slogged your guts out, well done!!!

AMAZING!! Such an inspirational lady, well done you!

This is fantastic, there aren't many that talk about maintaining on here. You look amaaaaaaaaazing!!!

It's a bit too early on the way to my goal, but I have a beautiful dress I want to wear to my friend's wedding next year. I'm also putting £10 in a jar for every 1lb I lose (including re-losses if I gain) to spend on clothes and put towards a holiday to wear them on :-D

Thanks so much for putting that all together, I'd read bits and bobs but nothing so clear! I've gone through several calculators and come up with 1600 average, and my TDEE is 2090 average, so going with the -20% thing I've reset my calorie goal to 1600 as I'm in no rush to loose, infact I'm worried about loosing too…

I agree rest is good, my next comment may be teaching you to suck eggs, but a good warm up/cool down including stretches is invaluable in keeping you loose and limber. I personally think dynamic stretches like walking lunges are great for runners as they are a bit more functional...

Hi, I'm a physiotherapist in the uk, I have seen a lot of larger people for joint pains and completely agree with. Janjanjanis, non-weight-bearing exercises like water based, static bike and even rowing machines can be good. Out of personal curiosity I was just wondering how long your hip has been painful? Do you remember…

Hi, I started using the app in 2007 but not consistently or seriously. Started to do this properly a week ago, if you want another friend please add me, we could work together to get it right this time!

Congratulations!!! What an amazing transformation, getting my zumba on thanks to you! Thank you soooo much for posting :flowerforyou::heart:

Thanks, that's a really helpful answer. Can I just ask, when you say at maintenance is that net calories or intake only?
-
That's a big visual difference, well done!! And as for "small progress", pfft, it's still progress and you can't get bigger losses without the "small" ones :-D

That is amazing, you are such a strong person, well done!!!! Quick question, what is hbc? I'm intrigued, but a total noob when it comes to acronyms...

Hi, I don't have experience myself, but I've worked with people with both conditions (not together normally, your poor step mum!) Sounds like you're doing well so far, and tai chi is excellent so definitely give that a go, other things you could try are Pilates/adapted yoga (if you speak to a trainer they should be able to…

Sorry but I just wanted to point out that this is physiologically correct, but the people that were arguing over bloody semantics seem to have ignored this post entirely! A very basic translation of this is that muscle will appear leaner/elongated, but will retain strength, what actually happens is a 'longer' muscle can…

A few tips I've picked up: Start by changing things you normally eat just by cutting calories, brilliant places to look for alternative low cal recipes are skinnytastes blog, slimming world…
