It's water retention from your muscles repairing themselves. Don't be discouraged.

I would just include more exercise if that's what you're worried about. Whatever you burn now, aim to burn that at home too. Is there a reason being at home will restrict your ability to exercise?

You don't, judging by your profile pictures, have a lot to lose. That means weight loss will seem slower compared to someone who is obese or very overweight simply because you have less to lose. Could it be a case of needing to 'firm up' rather than 'lose weight'? If that's the case I suggest weight lifting, you'll see…

Once a week. I don't own a set of scales so I go to the local pharmacy and use their scales, where I can also check body fat % as well. I would like to weight daily (and even several times a day) to track the numbers and see how my body fluctuates day to day, but then I'm a nerd. I most certainly wouldn't take those…

That's because when men envisage big boobs they think of porn/movie star style huge rock solid knockers. Naturally big boobs tend to be heavy, saggy and most definitely not perky. They cause severe back and shoulder pain. The weight causes painful red grooves in the shoulders where bra straps dig in and rub. They can cause…

You look amazing. Congratulations on your weight loss!

I was far too unfit when I started to even consider running! Just walking up my own damn stairs made me out of breath. So I walked. A lot. I used an exercise dvd at home, started just doing the warm up section then moved on to the low intensity section and finally the whole dvd. It's now just over 3 months and I've taken…

Your opinion doesn't surprise me. It saddens me. For both the coach, and yourself.

Fat =/= unfit. Fat =/= unknowledgable. By this logic how many professional sports coaches would be out of a job? If it's good enough for the top athletes in the world I think it's good enough for the rest of us. Why the hell you care how someone else eats/works out is beyond me. Hold yourself accountable, not everyone else.

I'm actually amazed by these responses, especially since a good portion must be coming from overweight/obese people themselves? It saddens me that so many people can't find the motivation within themselves and need some 'dream vision of perfection' to kick them into gear. That isn't motivation. It's a cop out. So, out of…

If I needed someone to be a living embodiment of what I wanted to achieve in order to feel motivated by them then no, because their physical appearance is paramount to that. If I needed someone who could motivate and encourage me with their words and self belief then yes, because their personality is the overriding factor.…

Haha, I like this. I'm dying to play sports. I haven't most of my life because I've never had the fitness level -or the confidence - to do so. Walking up the stairs gets me out of breath at the moment. I am so, so looking forward to cricket in the park, running with my dog, snowboarding, sailing, horse riding...

You know what, even with the quoting of Psalms you had me, and I thought it was a nice post, right up until this point. It's ok to tell someone YOUR beliefs and something from YOUR faith that helped YOU, and hope it might offer them the same support and motivation. But to start your sentence with a qualifier acknowledging…

Wow, you don't even look like the same person! You look amazing, you should be so proud of yourself lady!

You look amazing! And I agree with others; you look years younger too! Good job.

I'll reserve judgement 'til you can link that article. I suspect there are various other factors at play. OP - if you're hungry in the evenings you have two options. 1) Eat more earlier in the day so you're not hungry in the evening, or 2) Allow yourself some calories in the evening to cover any evening snacking you do.…

Yep, I've lost 10lbs but no inches. Looking forward to finally dropping a damn dress size.
-
Rubbish, you can eat whatever you want at whatever time you want as long as it fits within your calorie goals; you'll still lose weight. OP eat whatever you like. It really depends how many calories you have left.

It appears he has takeaway once a week, which honestly, is fine if he wants to and is still within his other goals. Everything in moderation and all that. 1lb a week is a perfectly acceptable amount to lose OP! Don't worry. You do seem to be erratic with your calories, but then it looks like you've only been at it for a…

If you're not hungry then don't eat anything else. 200 calories is neither here nor there really.

You look fantastic, good job!

You said you think you look bigger when you look in the mirror; have you been measuring or weighing yourself as well? You probably can't trust your eyes. I've lost a few lbs since I started and I SWEAR when I look in the mirror that I look smaller. But I've been measuring too and the cold, hard facts are that I haven't…

I am obsessed with chocolate. I will never not like it. I worked on the confectionary department in a shop once and was told by everyone in the shop "Oooh you'll go right off chocolate after working there, you'll be sick of the sight of it! I worked that department and still don't eat chocolate now". I have no idea what…

I thought the same thing!

Oh hun, reading those other posts you've made makes me so sad :( Whether you realise it or not you have a problem with food, and you need to seek help for it. It doesn't have to be your parents, it can be another adult you trust, someone at school, a counsellor, your doctor; I would just urge you PLEASE talk to someone.…

So does losing weight a healthy way FFS.

What about taking baby steps? Introduce one change at a time. Maybe incorporate more fruit and veg into your diet, or work out X times a week, or reduce the amount of unhealthy snackfood. Then when you've settled one routine add another. Tackling it step by step might seem easier than going totally 180 on your previous…
