Not usually, no. Sometimes it affects my weight loss that week, sometimes it doesn't. You do what works best for you.

23lbs lost and am still in the same size clothes. I guess they were too tight on me before so it'll take a while longer to go down a size.

I shouldn't laugh but this comment is perfect :D

I would never do this. It's just rude. People often do it under the guise of 'concern' but being overly negative and openly pointing out people's flaws is not 'helping'. If people really wanted to help they'd share a delicious healthy recipe, or invite you out walking/to the gym/cycling/whatever with them, or do some other…

I doubt those are the reasons, it may be for a minority of people but do you really want homophobic people on your friends list anyway? Join the forums and add people you've made a personal connection with. Random adds always make me suspicious, and I rarely add them back.

I didn't lose anything for my first month. Don't be discouraged! Keep it up - put it this way, if you give up and go back to how you were before you'll definitely never lose it. So keep it up! Keep reassessing as you go and keep going.

I meal plan for shopping and budget purposes, so I know what meals I'm having for the next two weeks. There's room to switch it about if needed, but I generally stick to that plan. I know my meals will keep me within my calorie allowance without even checking. My life is fairly busy and hectic and things can change on the…

I concur with the above about lifting weights.

Oh my, that looks delicious! I've yet to meet a Jamie Oliver recipe I don't like though, gonna give this a go next week!

Everything they said. This is a lifestyle change - and sometimes life throws things like impromtu birthday parties at you. That's a good thing! Celebrate with your friends, then get back at it today.

Everyone is different, you do what works for you. Me? Mine cripple me. Some months I can't even get out of bed, let alone go for a walk and to hell with attempting the gym or a run. Some months I'm better, and if after the first awful day or two I feel I can cope with some gentle exercise, I do. I take it month by month,…

I'm sorry you've not been well :( I would eat normally today, if you get super hungry then eat more but you'll probably find you'll be fine to just carry on as normal now. Listen to your body and look after yourself.

I've been struggling with this too, as a vegetarian meat products are out for me and when I researched protein rich foods I was pretty disheartened to see it's all foods I have never liked. I've put a few on my next shopping list and am going to try and force myself to eat some, but I suspect I'm going to struggle to get…

It takes me forever to wake up in the morning, and I can never seem to face food first thing. Since I started working from home I found myself making something like a bowl of fruit, and picking at it throughout the morning. Sure, it may take me til 11am to eat it, but it's better than the alternative which used to be eat…

You know what love, I actually tried to help you and offer advice earlier. If you want to get mad because you didn't hear what you want to hear, that's not my problem. You have unrealistic expectations. Even if you started lifting right now there is no guarantee that you are going to lose the inches off your hips by your…

Because you are not fat. You can starve yourself and make yourself miserable and spiral further into depression and eating disorders over this distorted view of your body, or you can realise that the issues with your body are mostly in your mind and work out and eat healthily to get a fitter body. Nowhere have I said give…

1lb a week is fine. It's healthy and sustainable. Well done!

Oh hun :( I wish there were something I could say to make you feel better about yourself. You are clearly a lovely, beautiful young woman it's so sad that you can't see that! The problem isn't with your body but with your mind!

Sweetheart, my niece is 5 months pregnant right now. You do not have the belly of a 5 month pregnant woman, I assure you. You have a lovely slim body which if you stick with the weights and a good diet you will make strong and firm. You can't 'spot lose' weight off certain areas. So you can't target your hips specifically,…

I often take leftovers from the night before, so that could be pasta, vegetable stew, vegetable stir fry etc. They can often be eaten cold the next day or reheated, so it's good either way. I'm a big fan of couscous for lunch, I always find it fairly filling and it's easy to add vegetables and protein to it. Salads are…

You're setting yourself some very tight goals there. You will likely a couple of lbs in the first week or two from water weight, so let's say 6 lbs in two weeks. It may differ - I didn't lose any initial water weight, I've known people lose up to 9lbs in the first two weeks. 1lb per week is considered a healthy, steady and…

Aside from getting new friends who don't talk to you like ****? Honestly, if any of my friends ever spoke to me like that they wouldn't be friends much longer. It also sounds like a lot of what you're worried about is your perception of your body - I don't want do dismiss your thoughts or act like they're not important but…

I'm always astounded when people don't.

I have incredibly debilitating periods. Been back and forth between doctors and hospitals for years but apparently there is nothing wrong with me - that's just how mine are. Mine leave me bedridden, rolling around on the floor in agony, crying, clutching my stomach and vomiting. I skip LIFE around those days, so to hell…

What an amazing transformation, and to keep going at it when you hit a setback is even more inspiring. You are amazing :)

Thissss. You say you only have 49 calories left, but is that after you've eaten all your meals today, did one meal use up everything, or have you used everything up snacking? I pre-plan as a guideline, it can change on the day but as long as I know roughly what I've got to play around with I am usually ok. Do you usually…

Oh! Has MFP always censored posts? I don't remember them doing in the past.

Milk chocolate. I'll ****ing devour that if it's anywhere near me.

Yeah it's pretty rude to say that. Some people engage their mouths before their brains.
