"I like big butts and I cannot lie" - most likely NOT the line I would use to compliment you at the gym :)

SOOOOO.... Here was what I told her: "I love the photos of you doing your crossfit thing! It is very obvious that you take great care of yourself :)" I sent the email, and it was received very well! Here is her response: "And thank you for the compliment!! You are far too kind!" Mission = ACCOMPLISHED!

Thanks all! this is great. Its like homework! I'm going to try this out and report on how it goes- I am really curious to see how people respond. After all, I think we ALL can use compliments and encouragement!
-
I will try it, and report my results :)

I sent the email right before I got this post, and wrote almost EXACTLY what you did. Great minds think alike!

Thank you! Sometimes we can't help but be awkward :)

Perhaps some context is helpful: This arose after getting an email from a blog I subscribe to. The author is a Crossfit coach and Paleo Diet practitioner in Colorado. Living in AZ, I do not have delusions of grandeur and romance- I simply wanted to tell this blogger that she had an amazing physique (she does!) As I thought…

"say you have seen her around and that she is very toned" Another good one!
-
"Hey, it looks like you've been working hard and it's definitely paying off!" - I like this one alot. It acknowledges what I think is the real underlying compliment I want to give- that the hard work is impressive and recognized. Thanks Doc!

Sounds legit. Anyone else?

I like my biceps, so I am going to the gym today to do some HIIT and then blast my biceps too!
-
I'm with you man. I wish I had started HIIT earlier. This is the second soccer game I played without a sub, and I was totally winded in about 10 minutes!

Got it. I'm gonna hit the track on Monday. Thanks!
-
I have been trying to find info for HIT that can be done on a track- so far, unsuccessful. Any suggestions?
-
Also, any other suggestions you have for HIT workouts would be awesome

Nick mentioned earlier about not agreeing with the fasting aspect of the article that started this post. Anybody have any experience/feedback on the fasting part? I usually lift on an empty stomach, but mostly because I had a few bad experiences of almost throwing up if I ate pre-workout. Any thoughts?

I usually officially weigh myself once a week. The rest of the week, I do 2-3 times, and and then take an average just to see how I fluctuate.

My friend gave me this one the other day: "Imagine you are in the Acropolis, training next to Achilles and Odysseus. You want to go to Troy. You think they're just gonna give to you? DO IT!!!" -Alan

As a guy, I happen to think ANY tattoo is hawt on a lady. In fact, I am going to try this tattoo related pick up line this weekend: Me: "Hey! You have something your arm." Beautiful Tattooed Woman: "Eek! Where?" Me: "Right there" (pointing to tattoo) BTW: "Oh you mean my tattoo" (smiling approvingly) Me: "Yeah, I know it's…

I was going to say something exactly like this- 1,000 calories is low, but there is still TONS of stuff that you can eat and enjoy- lots of veggies, some fruits and some lean proteins can make great meals and keep you under your calorie intake.
