When I need motivation I try to do something I can't do because of my weight. For an example bending over to tie my shoes without breathing hard. Or I put on a shirt I know I can't fit into but I want to. These things remind me of why I'm doing this. We all started for a reason Just find the one that works.

I'm so proud of you. You are so going to do it. I want to be healthy for my two kids also. Talk about some great motivation. Take one day at time set small goals in the beginning. With progress the light at the end of the tunnel gets much brighter. When you lose the weight and decide to have another baby don't stop there…

My wife and I both gained weight after marriage. We were both pretty thin when we met. All I know is this when I look at her all I see is the woman I love, the mother of my children, my best friend and someone I want to be with always regardless of her weight or how she looks. That being said, we are both trying our best…

Breakfast is so important. I eat 2 hard boiled eggs in the morning 6:00 a.m and a snack by 10:00 am. It really helps me balance and it keeps me drinking my water. Good luck keep up with the walking.

Welcome and good luck. Remember if your working out at a gym, weight might not come off due to muscle growth. So keep checking those measurements.

Hey newbie!! How did you lose the first 50 that is excellent. I love your attitude. It sounds like your losing weight for all the right reasons. Health, family and yourself. You go girl!!! Twenty left no problem you can do it!!

Hi I believe any weight is achievable. It's a matter of setting long term and short term goals. I was 305lbs I'm now 287. My goal is 225lbs. So thats 60 some pounds left to go; however my short term goal is to lose a pound or more a week or at the very least not gain any. I think thats the key. I think that's the biggest…

Don't waist your money. You can twist in an office chair and do the same thing. Most things on TV are to good to be true. I have fallen into this trap and every time I have regretted it.

It's nice to see another picky eater. Vegies are not my strong suit. I found that it not so much that I don't like vegies it's how they are prepared that makes the difference. For an example Green and yellow zucchini cooked Andante in a pan with a tsp of teriyaki is great. Asparagus with Worcestershire sauce is good.…

Good luck it really helps to log on and chat as often as possible.

I found this out. I'm not using the powder anymore. crystal light has low calories 5 per serving, so it's like drinking flavored water. But what they don't tell you is that some of their products do contain aspartame. Aspartame is know to store fat. The crystal light bottles, however, do not have aspartame, instead it uses…

tina5877 I'm a teacher/administrator so I spend most of my day behind a desk except when I teach. Thats usually is three days a week for 4 hours so I'm on my feet. I think I walk around one to two miles a day around campus. As for after work I spend my time chasing and playing with my kids. When possible I work in a golf…

Well as a yo yo guy I gotta tell ya. Atkins is the pits yes it works but it's completely unsustainable. And after you gain the weight back it's twice as hard to lose the weight. Now I'm being realistic about this. My eyes are wide open. I started by creating as many different meals I could make that cut calories, but that…

When my wife was pregnant our doctor said that one piece of fruit or one small class of 100% pure juice is all a person should have each day. My wife gained a lot of weight eating good for you fruit. Instead we eat avocados, unsalted almonds and raw veggies.

You certainly have the right attitude. Dedication is within all of us. It's a matter of motivation. Sounds like your kids are lucky to have you. I won't say good luck, I will say good journey see you when you get there.

You so rock ~Cheryl keep going!

Think twice about such a low calorie diet. It seems like a good thing to eat less and lose faster, but it just isn't so. Lots of research has shown that a safe rate of weight loss is 1 - 2 lbs. Anything faster than that should be supervised by a doctor to make sure you are not hurting yourself, developing kidney stones,…

So far just getting on this site and giving others encouragement has helped me. I don't feel alone and it is fun to talk about the good and bad about being over weight. It really helps with those depressing moments we all have when we just rather eat something bad to make ourselves feel better. As for meds do your research…
