Major diet & activity change, allergies, iron & Vitamin B deficiency are all reasonable explanations...

Fat's the most calorie dense macro you can get... go full-fat on your dairy, add a tablespoon of butter or olive oil here and there. (Although your protein is low in your diary - maybe bump protein without worrying so much about adding calories?)

I'm 5'9" and started MFP at 212... currently hovering in the mid 180s with my goal at 170. I agree with pp who said the key is eating enough. 1200 cals doesn't do it for me (am so hungry, cannot sustain for more than maybe a week), I lose weight if I can eat consistently at 1750-1900 cals a day. If you haven't yet, check…

I'm with everyone else who gives a silent "good for him" when I see someone who's 'big' at the gym (or on a hike, or whatever...) The gym is definitely not about status or prestige or perfection - everyone is on a different place in their journey, you won't be the newest member for long, so get in there and get sweating :)

Uh, you got that one backward, hon. Longer than recommended = TSS

I'm in! I need to work harder if I want to meet this goal, would love some friends to help motivate.

Love it! I've lost an average 2-year old, but I might even round that down to say I lost a 3-gallon tub of super-premium ice cream :) ETA: apparently my goal is to lose an elephant heart. ew.

Look at you! A-maze-ing :) Keep it up, girl.

My Home --> Goals --> Change Goals --> Custom --> Go give yourself a few more grams of sugar each day so you don't feel bad about inevitably going into the red (especially if you're eating natural, whole food sources and going over)... MFP default is ridiculously low.

thanks for taking time to reply, ladies! i keep talking myself into and out of my goal... on one hand, i know the awesome confidence and contentment that comes with being thinner and in better shape. on the other hand, there's so much TIME and EFFORT that comes with being thinner and in better shape - so maybe I'm okay…

Amazing! You're doing great work and look fantastic :)

Look at you! Great work :) (And heck yeah to the head game...)

it's totally possible to be a 'healthy overeater'... a diet of salads, grilled chicken and fish, stir fried veggies, healthy whole grains, egg white scrambles, avocado, nuts, etc. can still allow you to be overweight. the key (as everyone else has said so far) is to create a calorie deficit over time - if you need the big…

amaaaaazing! nice work :)

If you liked them previously (did you have VHS like me??), it's probably worth it to check them out... the workouts didn't seem intense to me in comparison to P90X or other fitness DVDs I've done - and it REALLY bugs me that he doesn't do reps with symmetry. He'll get off in counting sets of 8 or neglect doing things on…

Nice work! Wow, you've come a long way :)

Do you read PostSecret? Frank just posted the most awesome thing on FB: If you ever catch yourself feeling blue, as we all sometimes do from time to time, here are ten things that if you do three days in a row (I promise) will make you feel better. 1. In the morning write down five things you are grateful for. 2. Think…

Amazing! What a great effort for your health and family :)

Consider protein a minimum goal - red = good. (Or raise the defaults - it's under the goals settings.) Go read the best advice about setting appropriate calorie goals: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12

Nice work, girl!! I'm also 5'9" (currently 185) it's a nice reality check to see someone close to my weight who I think looks great :) *Under 170 is my happy place too!

I'd add some acid for brighter flavor... lemon or lime juice.

The first two ingredients in the Morningstar sausage patties are texturized soy protein and organic wheat gluten... from there they contain an additional 15 ingredients Clean eating is about eating as much whole food as possible and these would not fall into the 'whole food' category.

greek quinoa salad: http://www.twopeasandtheirpod.com/greek-quinoa-salad/ I chop everything much smaller than her picture so everything is closer to the same size... I put it over a bed of spinach - delicious! Not eating much wheat these days so quinoa is a great sub for pasta in any pasta salad I miss
