I am also 105 but I am 5' 3". I get the same comments from people questioning why I go to the gym especially since I am naturally very small. I'm there the same reason everyone else is, to be fit. Just shrug it off. People are dumb.
-
I'm 5' 3" and I've never weighed more than 105 pounds. Before I began strength training I weighed 100-102 pounds. And yes, I have a small frame. It does make a difference. I'm just pointing our your general statement is incorrect. I may be on the low end of the spectrum but I was born that way. That doesn't make me…

I had a dog when I was a baby She was gorgeous, an Norwegian Elkhound/Akita mix. Her name was Katie Mae, after the Dead song. She used to steal mittens and socks off of me and run away.

Want to edit: I just measured for the first time in a couple weeks, and my waist is 24.25 now. Noice.
-
Is that not what I said? The number on the tag is going down while the fit stays exactly the same. Whatever the word for it is, that has been my experience, and I know it's happened to others.

Smallest part of the waist is where I measure seeing as it's, well, my waist. So I take my waist measurement there. It's 25" right now. It'd be nice to see it at 24", which I imagine will happen once I've lost my desired amount of fat. I'm 105 pounds and 5' 3", for reference.

I'm 5'3". I wear size XS or XXS shirts depending on the brand, same as either 0 or 00 bottoms depending on the brand. Brands size things ridiculously these days. I remember five years ago (I was relatively the same size, maybe even smaller because I was younger) I bought a pair of shorts, size 2, fit fine. The nest year I…

OP, is it a good idea to be so restrictive with your food while in recovery for an eating disorder? I don't mean to pry but I remember one of your threads regarding this from not too long ago. From experience, going from one thing to the next - veganism, vegetarianism, et cetera - were just other ways for me to control…

Double leg circles. Love them.

Like the others said, genetics play a role but I don't think they are something that can't be overcome, in a way. Me, I'm built just like my mom, I hold all my weight in my tummy and thighs. I also lose fat very quickly, just from other areas of my body - arms, calves, shoulders. I know it's going to take a while for me to…

It's difficult to receive proper nutrients even if it's a high protein liquid diet. Even then, upon completion of this "pouch test", all you will have lost is water weight. Your abdomen will only look smaller because there is no food in it/no food being digested. You'll gain it all back once you begin eating normally…

Pretty awesome locks.

I'm constantly craving Chinese food. It's a curse.

I wish that was my drawing! It's by an artist named J Scott Campbelll. :)

I took all my mom's old stuff. She had a lot of Everlast shorts and cropped leggings, and I love both of those. They're not sheer at all so I don't have to worry about that, and they're wicked comfy. I recommend Everlast.

That she looks very good in red :)

lol@*sigh* Then that's ^ what I'm doing, and it's working. It's a good thing I'm not a bodybuilder. Then I'd be WAY far off, huh? As I mentioned, I'm not trying to get big so I have no reason to consume a surplus of calories and protein. Please see above "losing body fat" and "lean muscle". Please forgive me, MFP elder,…

I am eating at a calorie deficit and building muscle. I eat slightly below maintenance, enough to fuel me/my workouts, with lots of protein. I'm not trying to get "big", just losing body fat and building lean muscle to replace it. Working out great so far for me. It's not impossible to do this, but I'm sure it varies from…

Her BMI according to http://nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bminojs.htm would be 19.7, which is within normal range, just slightly on the lower end. It's not too dramatic of a goal, in my opinion, but I wonder why exactly OP wants that number or why she wants to lose weight in the first place. Was it just due to finding out the…

This isn't about weight loss, but I get comments a lot whenever I ask for advice on nutrition or fitness. People will gawk at me and say lovely things such as: "Why do you need help? You're already skinny" "Oh shut up, you're fine" "Oh my god no, I WISH I looked like you" "You clearly have a problem" "Why are you on a…

I am turning 19 next month. I joined in 2011 when I was 16. Oops!

I find it an even stranger mindset to judge someone so quickly based on one harmless question from them about, of all the potentially red-flagging things... one container of yogurt. Oh, the drama. I must be certifiable. I am sure your super-keen mindset will be helpful to others, however, so keep at it!

As in thigh gaps aren't natural?

I'm 5" 3' and and before I started working out and I was just eating whatever I wanted, I was about 102. I was always very small but I was never strong. After about 6 weeks of lifting (6x/week) and some cardio (2-5x/week) I now weigh 105 and I have muscles for the first time ever! I eat a lot of protein as well. Just a…

Huh, is it? You're probably right. Thanks!

Why does everyone think I'm so worried about this? Haha. Thank you for the advice, I will keep in mind what I already have been regarding sugar, but I don't have a "condition" and I am in no way worried about a little bit of sugar. It was just a question.
-
I eat too much of it? So if I can eat less sugar, I'm going to do that.
-
Nice! I'm so doing this. Thank you :)
-
I do like that kind of yogurt, my issue is with the sugar. I'm trying to eat less sugar, and I like yogurt because of all the protein. Oh well. I'll probably just eat the whole thing and make a point to eat less sugar tomorrow.

I didn't know that those yogurts came in so many different sizes. I assumed it was a given that I was referring to a normal yogurt cup. You know, the kind you can buy in a 4-pack. The fruit takes up about 1/3 of the container I would say. Again, an estimate. The container is 5.3 oz or 150g. I suppose I could go scoop out…
