  • Hi Well done build up slowly - take on board sufficient water and do other exercise to strengthen the weak knee. I tend to have a weak back and have needed to work at that. Everyone is different but I like to have an energy drink of some sort before running. Water after.
  • I agree - won't do you any harm. My diet tends to be low on protein, so well done on getting it up
  • I have been a vegetarian for seven years - gave up meat the same time I gave up cigarettes! I wouldn't say it was exactly a 'spiritual' experience but I do believe there is a relationship between what you eat and the bodies energies i.e. a healthy diet encourages balance in the bodies energy. Not only does vegetarianism…
  • It can be very hard to keep going on anything when you hit on troubled times. Really sorry about your relationship, but you need to be positive and work with the good things you have today! Look forward to better to come. Also regular exercise (i.e. more than 20 mins per day) will help to fight the depression and get our…
  • Fresh Tofu, nuts, beans are the obvious ones if you don't eat eggs
  • Stir fry with bean shoots using a small amount of olive oil. Very few calories but very tasty, quick and easy
  • Don't give up keep at it. If you fail and eat more don't let it get to you. Balance it out with a work out or some exercise. Don't be disheartened this is just a blip for you - having one blip don't matter so long as generally you stick to it.
  • Good for you. Go for it. You can do it if you stick to the calories and add in some exercise.

  • Hi I am not sure what starvation mode is either but I found an explanation here http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk/calories/burning_calories/starvation.htm I would advise you to put in your exercise and work outs. I think maybe I have an opposite problem to some people because I find that I need to make an effort to eat…
  • Yes to both totally. When I gave up drinking coffee I felt exhausted in the mornings and sluggish but after a week or two I started to feel a lot better and also my running times improved. Since I have gone back to drinking only one coffee per day, but even that seems to have a negative effect. Caffeine is definitely…
  • Good work - getting fit will really help you get onto a totally new track, you will really start to realize how much you were missing as a smoker. My sixth anniversary of no smoking.
  • Doing exercise is tiring, especially at first, so I would not worry too much as you become fitter so you will start to feel less tired. When I first started exercising I used to feel exhausted and it took five or six months before I really got over that. I still get a sag in the evening sometimes following exercise and…
