I think it was a food preference thing, that's all.

I am a bubble tea addict, so yes I still have one, just not as much as before. I don't get the milk teas, just green tea with strawberry. Double pearls... That's my weakness, the pearls. I have gotten the supplies to make mine at home, and then I can control how much sugar I have in it, usually half of what the tea shops…

I think it comes down to finding something you enjoy doing and eating. I really enjoy swimming, (just the breaststroke, so nothing too strenuous) so I try to follow my big weekly workout with half an hour of that. Finding healthy foods you really like will encourage you to go after them more, as well. For my other…

I wish they did this in Canada, just looked it up and we don't even come up. Such a great idea!:flowerforyou:

Quite often muscle cramps are from a lack of calcium. Check your levels and see if they need adjustment. It doesn't necessarily need to come from dairy, there are lots of other sources.

I have the same issue, I've lost 20 pounds, but I don't see it. The only way I know I've lost weight is the change in my clothing size. I am also hoping that I'll see a difference once I reach my ultimate goal. I'm just trying to keep it from being the total focus on my life.

You enter it separately in cardio under "strength training" with the length of time done. It may not be fully accurate, but if you are using a HRM, you can adjust to your actual results.

Echoing everything everyone is saying. Yesterday I was in a real funk, then went for a good walk, and now I am completely over the funk. Hang in there, I know it hurts when our kids aren't in our reach anymore, my daughter lives 4 hours away, and I hate when she goes back after a visit.

In the cardio database there is "strength training" and that's what I use. It, like all the cardio stuff, goes by the length of time you are doing the exercises. Hope this helps.

Good job! Keep being the change, I wish I could do that for my family.

This is what was on the Rachael Ray show this summer, maybe it will help: http://www.rachaelrayshow.com/show/segments/view/what-eat-amusement-park/ Have a great time and don't forget all that walking counts, too!

Great job! We were in San Antonio almost a year ago, pre lifestyle change, and we either went to that restaurant, one very similar. I would have had a tough time not blasting through my goals going there. Making a plan like that is the best way to succeed. I'm just glad we don't have that style of restaurant up here in…

I am lactose intolerant, I have found lactose free milk and it comes in all fat levels. (1%,2%, etc.) Most hard cheeses are mostly lactose free or very low, but if I'm ever in doubt, I take a lactaid type pill, or two, and that usually helps. Yogurt doesn't set me off at all, supposedly it is processed in the body slowly…

Whole wheat English muffins, split in half. Any whole wheat base, really. Pita, naan, bagels, possibilities are endless!

I'm not an instructor, but in the aqua class I went to, which was deep water, we balanced ourselves standing on pool noodles and did reverse squats bringing our knees up. It gave great core exercising by having to keep the balance and great leg work, as well.

Before anyone could give advice, could you say how you are willing to make changes. I can see a lot of ways to help, but it comes down to what you are willing to do.

Jasmine green tea is natually sweet, and even my sugar addicted teen daughter likes it. No calories and has health benefits, too.

Great job! I've been at this since March and I've really started to enjoy the exercise that has become a regular part of my life. Go ahead and add me as a friend, if you want.

Get your thyroid levels checked, mine went out of whack after I had my first child. With the tiredness, I was also cold, but even if you don't have that symptom, still get checked out.

Sounds like shin splints, check it out on google and see for sure. I had them when I first started walking, but keeping up with it has reduced them dramatically. I was once told that they come when you are pushing to hard, so maybe take it down a notch and see what happens. :flowerforyou:

Hi, I started here in March, but most of my loss has been in the past couple months. I am all of 5 feet tall with a small frame, and though I don't want to get to my ED weight, I do want to get to 115, which is 50lbs under where I started. But that is only if I am healthy at that weight. Feel free to add me. I can use all…

The easy answer is of course veggies and a healthy dip, fruit tray with yogurt dip, but you could also have lean deli meats, like ham and cheese. I've worked with teens for 10 years now and one thing I do know, it doesn't matter what you put in front of them, they'll eat it! Sometimes the girls are bigger eaters than the…

I'm in Kamloops, BC. I do a 4.5k walk, 15 min of pilates and 10 min of stretching 3 days a week. I also try to fit in some kind of cardio on the other days. Hoping for some warmth this weekend.

Make sure you are getting your base calories in, drink lots of water, at least 8 cups, keep sugars low, and walk as much as you can. Park at the far end of the lot when going shopping, don't look for the closest spot, go for a fast 30 minute walk at least 3 times a week, more time if you have it. Find some kind of toning…

It only tracks your steps, whether running or walking. A heart rate monitor would be more useful for tracking your other exercises. I use mine to track the walking I do 3 times a week. I was going to try the running program, but realized I really enjoy walking and was dreading the running days, so I'm going to stick to the…

I looked over mine, total carbs changed, but not sugars. Hmmm...

I think the time spent with your family is more important than beating yourself up. You've got lots of great tips above, but reflect on a great time out with your folks, no amount of food will ever be more important than that.

I just got a basic food scale from Walmart in Canada for $5. It weighs up to 5lbs and never needs batteries. You can also put in one ingredient and then reset it to zero and add another without having to remove the first item. I like it much better than my old $80 battery operated model I had before. I found it near the…

Hi, I'm from Kamloops, BC. I try to do a workout with either of my videos, "Walk the Walk" which gives you a one or two mile option, or "Sweating in the Spirit" which gives you the option to do all the workouts: aerobic, pilates and stretch, or just do whatever ones you want. The SS one is very energetic and its going to…
