  • I live by the rule: Never make someone a priority that only considers you an option. Say goodbye and move on, even as hard as that can be.
  • I use a protein shake from a company called Vega. Blend it with unsweetened chocolate almond milk, and the powder itself is sweetened with Stevia. On my non strength days, I use their nutritional shake, also sweetened with Stevia and blend it with regular unsweetened almond milk. You'll get this, it all takes time. I love…
  • Special K fruit crisp bars are my version of pop tarts, same flavor, smaller package.
  • Bubble Tea, biggest weakness.:drinker:
  • Acorn squash. I had made some as part of our dinner just after I had moved in with my DH and he refused to eat it. I freaked on him saying "all you will eat is cubed and frozen! " referring to the usual frozen mixed veg we usually had. It was a fight that was really about how I had done all the changes in my life, moving…
  • I work part time as a server, so I set my activity level at the lowest and then calculate calories burned while working by inputting walking 2.5 mph times number of minutes worked. Not an exact science without a heartrate monitor, but as good as it gets for me. Sidenote: sometimes forum topics get bumped off the main…
  • I would talk to your personal trainer and get a nutrition analysis done. If they don't know how to do that, they should know someone who can. You may not be taking in enough proper nutrients to work with this new activity and level you are doing it at. Your trainer should know more about you than anyone on here.
  • I haven't done any workouts with videos, but I think the wii version at least keeps you accountable for the proper movements.
  • Jasmine green tea, naturally sweet. That and Bubble Tea. Twinnings earl grey. Just a big tea drinker. :drinker:
  • Sequel Vega line is great, sold online and is sweetened with stevia. They have a whole line of products that take you from pre to post workout. Google them and see if it works for you, it has been the best for me.
  • As the offspring of someone who never wanted kids, I strongly recommend that you keep to your decision. All four of us knew that was the case and it didn't make for a wanted feeling. The pressure of that time was to have kids, but I don't think that is the norm anymore. I will always advise people this way, even my own…
  • Some of the entries on the database are not complete, I tend to look for the ones that don't have an asterisk next to them, they are more accurate.

  • Chia: the seed Chai: tea made with spices Two different things with slightly different spellings, please don't confuse the two, you will not get the same results... I found a product at my local health food supermarket called "Superseeds" Contains chia, flax and hemp, I love mixing this into my smoothies and into my tomato…
  • Strength training is key to all this. A couple days a week will help build up any lost muscle you may have lost, or never had, to burn off calories even when you are not exercising.
  • I dealt with that in my younger years, strangely it was worse during my cycles. I found that having some kind of acid with them, and it was mainly the whites that affected me, seemed to cut through the bloating and other symptoms I had. As I have gotten older I have been able to tolerate them.
  • Kraft Dinner and apple sauce.
  • I'm in BC, just to start... I was sick part way through my C25K training, and decided to start completely over, which I probably could have just gone back a week. I have also decided to go to my local indoor track during the cold months here, and maybe longer, because I prefer the surface better than Hwy. 1. Good running…
  • My profile pic is of me finally fitting a dress made for me 20 years ago! Such a great feeling, huh?
  • Old Navy just launched a new line, pretty affordable, too.
  • Try to get some strength training into your routine. I had lost most of my muscle mass, so most of what I was consuming turned to fat because there was nothing to burn off the calories. I have since gotten back into shape, and the weight has come off. Now my BF % averages between 20-22%.

  • Are you the one purchasing the food? If so, stop buying the unhealthy stuff. If she is bringing it in, tell her that she can eat it, but the rest of you don't have to suffer with it. Standing up to our parents, especially when they are helping in other areas of our lives, can be challenging, but you are the only advocate…
  • I would periodically check my heart rate to make sure I was in whatever zone(fat burning, aerobic, etc.) I was aiming for. There may be a chart you can google, there just happened to be one on the wall where I swim.
  • Don't make someone a priority who only considers you an option.
  • I agree with Old Navy. And by the way, Banana Republic, Gap and Old Navy are all the same company. You just get to choose how much you want to spend for the same items.
  • My observations with any of these pills is that it says to take "x" number of times a day with a full glass of water, usually 8 times. Getting the reccomended amount of water suggested on here per day has been a large factor in my loss. So my thought is drink the 8 cups, and have a Tic tac with each one, probably just as…
  • I'm just starting week 8, which is the final week on the program I'm using. It got easier, especially when I reminded myself where I had been at the beginning. Dying when running for just a minute to running for 25+ minutes. If a 44 year old can do it, anyone can!
  • It does, it's just not listed. I have googled products or their equivalent to find the average levels and then change it on the database.
  • I typically only do it 2 days a week, Tuesday and Thursday, with MWF being my gym/run days. I bought it back in January and am now just doing level 3. It gives me something to do at home when I can't go to the gym without taking up too much time. Just do it as you need to, its not like Jillian is going to show up at your…
