Great to meet you all :)

Hmm, that's a sad situation for all parties... Especially the child. I wonder how the child will feel when they grow up :/

Ok, something I remembered from Dr Oz ages ago (ugh, I don't really like him, but whatever :P) Ghrelin? Does this exist and does it really regulate hunger levels? I have not seen it brought up on these forums before, and admittedly never looked into it myself.

I loved your stories Colleen and Amber. If there's one place you can share all you want, it's here :) I love hearing other people's stories. I have to be honest, until I joined this group, I heard very little about same-country adoptions. I only ever heard of one Aussie family who adopted an Aussie girl - a friend of mine…
-
Wow, I totally agree with both of you. One of my pet peeves is "Wow, you should be grateful/thankful that you were adopted". The oddest comment I got was "Oh, you and your mother have a strong resemblance." Bearing in mind that I am adopted from Korea and she is of English descent. LOL.

Mushrooms with garlic, lemon and thyme or parsley... YUM

Maybe a "light" bubbly wine might work? I know in Australia they sell a lower calorie bubbly... bubbly drinks are more "filling" than flat too. Another alternative I found is doable is to just drink some non-alcohol apple cider or dry ginger ale.

I'm exactly the same!! I'm usually not hungry when I drink alcohol. Then if I eat, I feel sleepy / crappy

Cabbage soup diet....

I am now thinking of upping my calories... My current target is 1200, but I like seeing green, so I've been sticking with ~850-1000... But I don't feel that I'm losing much (My BMR is supposedly 1360 so I am not anywhere near this.) I'm not sure how I can eat more though without adding carbs? I eat HUGE meals full of…

Wobble position - the 3rd base in a codon that doesn't necessarily follow the rules of base pairing

Did D5 / L1 yesterday but forgot to post!! Oops!!
-
Wow, I really want one of these now... if you don't mind me asking, did you buy it online or at a bricks and mortar store? Also, roughly what price range was it in?
-
Keep exercising!! :) It's the only way to get your body used to that level of exercise... (but maybe ramp down the intensity if you feel like it's too painful)
-
I try to eat them back... otherwise I feel myself heading back into the "OMG GOTTA KEEP CALS AS LOW AS POSSIBLE" failure spiral.... it's just not sustainable.
-
If you can't find low - 0g carb sausages, I guess minced meat could be an alternative?
-
I would guess it's similar to Dancing - aerobic, ballet or modern, twist
-
Just completed D4/L1!! I could do the buttkicks and jumprope alot more easily today and my stamina has definately increased... only stopped once or twice and only for a couple of seconds.
-
Definitely this...
-
Yum, that hamburger thing sounds good... I have been eating so much chicken, lately I've been craving beefy burger - taco type flavours...
-
Oops! Double post!!
-
Just did D3/L1 ... Thinking soon I'll be able to move up to 1 kg weights... my weak arms are already feeling stronger!!
-
WOW, Such an amazing transformation... You're a great inspiration, proving that hard work, effort and dedication really pays off!!
-
OH MY GOD... I couldn't even tell it was the same guy at the end!! WELL DONE :D:D:D:D:D
-
Low fat tzatziki could be interesting...
-
Ramen is good if you only use half the noodles and add a buttload of veggies and maybe an egg :D The sodium is a worry though :S
-
Is there a lower calorie verson of graham crackers you can use? I'm guessing they're like Ritz or something... that could halve the calories in the crust.
-
Those look so pro... seriously, you could sell them :D
-
Welcome Shane, always great to have more Aussies on here!! (not that we don't appreciate the rest of you :P)

From the little I gleaned from biology and chemistry this year - water acts as either an acid or a base - if either strong acid or base is introduce to water (or vice versa) the water will dissociate and become acid or base. So I don't think theres any risk of diluting the acid in your stomach as HCl is a strong acid.
