I really admire your dedication even through a difficult time. Sounds like you're seeing great results!

Level 1 day 8 and level 2 day 3 done. Two more days of doubling up before I get a day off (going to be at the beach!) level 2 is starting to feel a lot better. How is everyone else doing?

Argh double post sorry! iPad does whacky things sometimes.

Level 1 day 7 and level 2 day 2 done!! I'm having an "I can do anything if I put my mind to it" kind of day so it went really well. Level 1 was really good and even with doing level 2 right after I didn't struggle too much. Did all those darn military press things but I still had to go slower than I'd like for the chair…

you're being smart about things. as jillian says "no injuries please!"

way to go!

I use 5 pounders. The first time I did shred I used 5s for level 1, but with levels 2 and 3 I switched it up between 3s and 5s depending on the move. If you can do 6 more power to you!

Well after 9 days vacation I got back to shred today. Did level 1 and level 2 back to back so technically done level 1 day 6 and level 2 day 1. I'm assuming the break, the horrible heat and humidity, and an eight o'clock dinner all contributed to feeling like I was going to puke a couple times. With that being said I kept…

After 5 days in NYC I'm still at day 5. But doubling up today and tomorrow. Determined to get to level 2 by this weekend! Darn holidays!

Repost. Darn Internet!

That's great!!

Level 1 day 3 in the books! Still doing modified push-ups during the second round of them, but I think if I just tried I could do the regular ones both rounds. Wanted to stop near the end of the first strength portion but reminded myself it was only 30 seconds max and cardio was next! Helped to keep me going.

New to MVP and would love to join! Going to be away for a total of 12 days in July so this will motivate me to stay on track, as much as possible, during those times and work even harder the other 18 days.

The first time I did 30ds i was SO SORE for the first 5 days maybe? Walking was painful, stairs were painful, etc etc. But I swear, the thing that helped most was doing the DVD. Once I got moving my muscles started feeling better and by the end of the DVD i always felt good as new, until the next morning at least :).

I'm the exact same way! The strength portions are the only parts I really dread for level 1. Not that I'm not sweating and getting a great workout, the strength is just what really gets me. Just finished level 1 day 2. About the same as yesterday but I didn't run beforehand so my shins felt a little better. Already…

30 Day Shred is great and probably the best Jillian DVD for beginners since it's only 20 minutes of real working out and she doesn't do anything that's too too crazy (not that the workout isn't great). I did it back in September and lost 10ish pounds and was not eating perfectly (although I had just moved home after…

first time i did 30ds i used primarily 5 lbs for level 1, but incorporated 3s when necessary (like for the lateral raises that STILL kill me). i started level 2 with 3s and worked my way up to 5s, same with level 3. your body will tell you which weights are best :). if you can only do a certain move a efew times until…

Just finished level one day 1. This is my second round of 30ds, completed the first round back in September. I had to do modified pushups during the second round of them, and I always have to go slow with those lateral lift with a side lunge things but I didn't feel too awful! And believe you me the first time I ever did…

I was planning on starting tomorrow anyways! Did 30 day shred back in September and it was a great starting point for my weight loss! Hoping another round will get things toned up again and help with the last 15 pounds I'm looking to drop.
-
I'm starting another round of 30 day shred tomorrow!! First thing I tried when I moved back home in September and even though I'm smaller now I felt fitter after 30ds. Between that and training for a half marathon I'm hoping my thighs will slim down a little but even if they just get more toned I'll be happy. It's been a…

5'10" and started at 176. now at 157 with an ultimate goal between 140-145. would love to be 128-135 (high school weight) but i think those days are behind me! i'm very bottom heavy so even at 128 i didn't look tiny because my thunder thighs just never go away, but i'm also fitter now so hoping that if i lose 10-15 more…

New to MFP, this is perfect as I will be leaving for a weekend in Boston July 22. I'm in!

Hi everyone! Haven't decided how much I'm going to use this but love hearing from more tall women. I'm 23 years old, just about 5'10" and 157 pounds right now. Throughout high school I ranged from 130-140 and then I went to college. Had the time of my life, but that took a toll on my body. Moved back home in September and…
