You could eat ALL your 1200 calories as jelly tots each evening at 11pm then tumble into bed and you would still lose exactly the same amount of weight as 1200 calories of lean meat, whole grains and vegetables eaten by 6 pm each day. You might feel a bit more bleaugh on the nighttime jelly tot diet

Biggest dieting myth of our time is that you have to cram down 8 cups of water a day whether you feel thirsty or not. It is utter baloney.

Eat right. Move more. It's the only way

I'm very grateful my body is more than capable of dealing with processed foods. I'm a big fan of eating them now and then

Huge respect to you

Absolutely. YouCAN stop yourself. If someone held a gun to your head and threatened to shoot of you ate the unhealthy pile would you eat it? Course not. PMS is NO excuse for any sort of behaviour

Melrose, very interesting links. Thanks again for the experiences shared. Any more?

Yes. Averaging out weekly calories will work. In fact it's a good strategy

Thank you for this. Very interesting. Anyone else care to comment?

it's a complete and utter myth that refuses to die

I do not count or estimate cals when eating out. I choose exactly what I want and enjoy it. Main course only, no starter or desert. I eat out about 1 - 2 times a month
-
well done!

good question especially the if not why not part. As I DON'T believe in eating all my exercise calories to help with weight loss , I await the responses of those who do

Best advice ever from my aunt in regards to men (or partners in general of whatever ilk) - Never marry (date/live with/whatever) a man who can not give you at least what you can give yourself. And that's not really all about the material stuff. [/quote] genius. I am sure this works for men as well. I am going to pass this…

the most weight I ever lost was in the three months sedentary recovery period following surgery to both feet. Calories in v calories out still applies. Good luck with the surgery
