  • I would like to be adopted! My name is Nicole. I'm returning to MFP after irregular use over the last 3 years. In 2014, I lost 23lbs and was able to maintain it for 6 months. But then I fell in love and let go. Fast forward to today, I've gained ~40lbs and I've started and quit so many times that I'm getting frustrated…
  • Okay, people are just rude, but I still try to find something to love/appreciate about them, which at times can seem impossible. I'm sorry that people are saying those things to both of you! :( At least we know better - just ignore them and keep doing our own thing. Here's what I hear when I talk about having to do the…
  • I used to run, but I stopped and now I'm doing T25, so I haven't really tried to get back into it. This app sounds amazing! I'm obsessed with The Walking Dead, Warm Bodies, and other zombie fics. Do you recommend the regular app for someone getting back into running? I'd imagine I'd be slow to start for a while.
  • Feel free to add me as well! I'm afraid to talk my friends to death about it as well, so I save it all for my FB accountability groups and here.
  • Thanks for the info! I definitely need to read up some more! I'm going to take your advice and just focus on eating well and getting my workouts in.
  • Yeah, it was just the combination of my ignorance and comparing myself to others. That makes me feel better!
  • Yeah, I think I was just comparing to myself and thinking that there was something wrong with me because they're burning 400-500 calories for the same workout that I'm burning a max of 330 on. I think I was also letting myself think that I wasn't pushing myself hard even though I was! I am losing weight, so I'll just have…
  • I'm currently using a HRM - specifically a Polar FT4. I don't use the numbers from MFP as I found that they were inflated compared to what my HRM said. I'll have to stop focusing on my caloric burn. I think I'm letting that determine the success of my workout most of the time and I guess that's not the right frame of mind…
  • I just didn't know if I was doing something wrong. I'm still trying to learn as I go. They're logging their workouts on HRMs like I am, so I'm not sure if they're overestimating or not. I hope they aren't. Thanks for your input!
  • Hey! I'm 24 and started working out and eating better about a month ago. I always appreciate the additional support and love hearing about everyone else's progress! Feel free to add me!
  • Thanks for the insight! I guess I'll have to do something on top of the T25 to burn more calories.
