Highly recommend for training. It does give you valuable info!

Good point! Exactly why I would choose to wear it if I do!

I do like the data that it provides, but for a long run it is not comfortable. It scratches me and leaves marks. I don't think the men that answered have the same issues as women trying to wear one... because of the lady lumps. We have to wear it below (or at least I do) and I tuck it under my sports bra. Just wondering…

I usually do 3 packs of Splenda and a little fat free creamer. I grind my own beans, and sometimes I just drink it black.

Proper running shoes are a must as everyone else has said. I can't overemphasize the importance of stretching before and after running. Really stretching out the calf muslces and all the muscles of the leg have eliminated my problems. I found a Pro Stretch at my shoe store that is amazing. Google it! I also have found that…

Great tips! I can persoally attest from experience (doing things the wrong way in the beginning) that they are true. Nothing like pain and down time to make a believer out of you! Thanks for sharing.

You can google it and get free training guides. That is where I got mine. Good luck!

Older guys are fine as long as they have hard bodies and soft hearts... some guys get bitter when they get older and some mellow like a fine wine... just sayin'.

When you AND your dog are depressed because you are recovering from injury and can't run yet. My dog looks at me every day I come out of the house to see if I am wearing running gear, and I swear I can hear a sigh of disappointment when I am not wearing it. The other day I had been wearing running gear from cross training…

 when you have no idea what the latest new movie releases are, but you know the dates and times of all the next two month's races/runs...

:frown: when you have learned the names and locations of the tendons in your legs and ankles from self diagnosis of your over training. :grumble: when everyone pisses you off a lot less after you have finished your run.

Hi! I'm not a teacher, but I am a nurse which does kind of qualify... I have to do patient education! lol. I just hit the big 5-0 last month, and I feel great! My goals for Sept. are: Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. :drinker: Continue to cross train until my ankle heals and I can run again. :grumble: Run…

For 180-200 calories the Pure Protein Chocolate Caramel Peanut (kind of tastes like Snickers if you use your imagination) and Chocolate Peanut Butter are good!
