you can try roasting them. my brother does not like asparagus, but I roasted them for him and he really liked them. Just olive oil, pepper and salt. I like pretty much all veggies. Try them in soup, hide them in other foods like people have said like smoothies, muffins/bread, add a few to your sandwiches and pizza and…

more power to you for getting the tests done and then taking the steps to change it. One question though-did you ask for the breakdown of the cholestrol numbers? There are basically 2 types- LDL and HDL. If the LDL is on the lower end and the HDL is on the higher end then that may not be quite as bad (but do your own…

That was a funny story-but not funny. I sleep alone and have battled insomnia so I understand the desire for a good night's sleep. I'm finally to the point where I get good sleep at night I'd say 90% of the time. Looks like your husband has the solution-go sleep in the other room before he get's in there!! Let the snorer,…

I don't really get cravings during TOM. Sometimes I think this is a convenient excuse that some people use out of habit and habits can be changed. However, I have found that I may just want MORE food. Now when I do get a craving for something at ANY time it is usually my body's way of signaling a nutritional imbalance…

Great job on the weight loss!!! I spoke with my doc about this and was asking her questions about surgery. She told me before I go that route, to continue to lose the weight SLOWLY!!! then once I get to my goal weight to maintain that weight for at least a year all the while continuing to exercise and weight train then we…

^ this I've known some people whose success have inspired me to make some changes in my life for the better, but I do not hold them responsible for my actions and outcome.

LOL...I actually have a tip that I use- I brush my teeth after Im done eating and that is the signal to my body that we will not be eating anymore tonight!! Some things that have worked for me (I'm no trainer though-can only go by my experience): 1. Lots of cardio- running/walking/rollerskating/etc 2. Interval training with cardio and strength (check out Tabata-style if you have never heard of it) 3. Diet: lots of fiber (sometimes that pouch is....well...fill in your own…

How about a breaskfast buritto without the eggs? There are plenty of non-egg combinaions like tofu scramble, spinach, sauteed vegetables, sweet potatoes, hash browns, black beans, salsa, etc. (some of the meats that others suggested- I don't eat meat so that's why I did not list it). Grilled cheese sandwich Since you don't…

one that just happened today: hovering over my food and using your boney fingers to point 2 inches from my food...."oooohhhh, what's THAT"...then you leave early because feel sick you and start vomiting when you get home!!! SERIOUSLY!!!! Never hover over a former-fat girl's food!!!
