  • Yep. I did this....and it is TOUGH. NO Salt, restricted foods and cooking meals for the week......BUT!...I lost 35 pounds in 6 weeks. The downside is that I put 20 back on because I went CRAAAAZZZZYYYY when I went to regular food and stopped exercising. The thing I don't like about it is that this program does not…
  • I have found that if I drink out of a cup with a straw I drink much more water. I have a big 32 ounce jug with a lid. I fill that up with ice and water. I usually get 2 to 3 of them down a day. The straw works for me!

  • :flowerforyou: Hi Lauren and welcome! First of all Good for you that you are committed to working out and getting yourself in shape. That is definitely a step that will get you where you want to be. BUT!!! I think that eating only 1000 calories a day is NOT good for you. Please go to the message boards and search for…

  • Sounds to me like you are eating too little. I'm not an expert at this but I have read many posts about eating your exercise calories and how eating under actually works against you. Search in the posts on this topic. I know there is lots of info there for you on this. Banks is on here and he has had very wise words on…
  • Rock On with your bad self MercuryBlue! WOOHOO!!! :flowerforyou:
  • What about an egg white omlet? You can add a ton of veggies and some salt and pepper. I have had this before and found it pretty satisfying and of course almost or no fat. If you add a little cheese there is some but you can skip it. Thanks for reminding me!!!!
  • Shoot Me in the Head...??? That would be my guess.
  • Not sure where in IL you are but there is Independance Grove in Libertyville, IL on Rt. 137 (Peterson Rd) and Rt. 21 (Milwaukee Rd.) Also there is the North Shore bike path but not so sure how safe that is.
  • Snoflak....Good for you! :flowerforyou: You just have to keep moving. I know what it is like to have a job where you sit all day. I'm sitting here now! I had to work out a way that I can work out at the gym before work....this means getting up at 4:15AM, working out for 45 minutes, getting showered and ready for work at…
  • No, but I do enjoy the Sunsweet 1s once in a while. I used to give my son prune juice but as he has gotten older (he is 3 now) he doesn't like the taste and won't drink it. He still has digestive troubles at times and I give him Miralax. It is a flavorless powder that you can find at your grocery store. I put a tsp in his…
  • If you are thinking of getting it....I vote you should. My husband bought it for us over the weekend and we really like it. It is a good workout and has so MANY different exercises to do....LOVE the variety. My 3 year old really had fun doing the boxing too.
  • The thought that came to mind after reading this is "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink" I think it is great that you are eating healthier and working out but until he is really ready to commit there isn't anything you can do to make that choice for him. You can make healthier meals...if you do the…

  • Oh Geez ladies! Aubreysgrammy and DeiselMama....I have the same fears swirling around in my head! I'm gonna tell you both what I tell myself....."SMACK TO THE FACE".....Knock it off girl! You are fabulous....yes you are fluffy....but if he can't see the GEM that you are....then he is the one with the problem NOT YOU! Then…
  • DeiselMama...I know....I know. It is so tough working, taking care of our kids ( I have 4) and finding time to spend with our husbands. As women we are always putting ourselves last! I definitely struggle with this crazy balancing act on a regular basis. What I do know though is that I feel so much better and I truly…

  • Max, I vote for Jelly and I am with Tam....you are evil for dragging us down this road! :grumble:
  • I don't know about food....I fight off the sweet or salty craving nightly too! Sometimes I drink a bottle of water with one of those zero calorie flavor packs. I know it isn't food and really want I want is chips or ice cream.....but I CAN'T and the water helps full up that kinda hungry craving something tummy.
