I had my diary open to my friends, but just opened it up to the public.

Thanks for all the great advice. I already gone thru menopause so TOM isn't a factor, but menopause is. One reason I'm so frustrated is I've never eaten this healthy before. I'm not giving up thou. I may call my doctor today and discuss the Seroquel. Look it up. It's know for weight gain. One thing someone mentioned was…

Sorry for being overly sensitive and defensive. I will be honest for those criticizing this diet and admit it was an impulsive decision on my part to join this program. I was sitting with my daughter's sister-in-law last Saturday at my grandson's baseball game and she was raving about this diet. I'm extremely impulsive…

I am eating at a calorie deficit. Everyday. Just not able to get the cardio in due to the shin splints. I'm going to try and get on the treadmill today (it's raining out) and see how it goes. It they start hurting I'm going to call my internist tomorrow. You're right. Something's off. I also got the terrible headache again…

In regard to my shin splints. I'm baffled. This is going on weeks now. My shins are now hurting even when I'm sitting and watching TV. When we start our walks I'm fine for about 1/2 mile. Then the pain starts and increases the longer I walk until I can barely make it home because of the pain. I didn't strain them by…

I'm very open to feedback, but people seem to go off on tangents and off-topic unrelated to what I posted and asked about. Making fun of me for trying something they don't agree with was a little harsh in the way it was posted. I try to stay away from Community for this exact reason. In my ideal world Community would be a…

WOW! Lots of responses. I was actually just wanting to know if cutting out the sugar, Diet Pepsi could be causing my headaches. The headache is pretty much gone today. I should have known that posting on Community I should have expected so much negative feedback. That's why I don't post very much. The diet is only…

I'm 64 and also take lots of meds for a medical condition. One is a weight gaining med which makes me crave sweets. I'm also dealing with stress eating. I used to be so proud of myself in my 20's and 30's how easy it was while my friends struggled. If I only knew then what I know now. I'm going to check out the menopause…

I'm also bipolar and ADHD. I have to take meds or I'll end up either depressed or manic. I was hoping the Vyvanse for the ADHD would help me lose weight, but that hasn't happened. I take Trileptol for the Bipolar too and the doctor says it's not a weight gaining med. I think it's really a combination of everything. I read…

I started taking it two weeks ago and have lost 5lbs. It definately suppresses my appetite. I haven't noticed any negative side effects so plan to stay on it. Right now this is the lowest I've weighed in 2 years and I'm fitting into my size 12 clothes again. Some of the 12's are too loose, which I don't understand as most…

I just started it so haven't lost any weight yet, but haven't been hungry today so it is supressing my appetite. Also didn't mess with my sleep when I took it at dinner time yesterday.

I got peeved and said I wasn't going to post, but am over it. The cat's much much better after this new round of antibiotics. This morning is his last dose. It's so nice to have him healthy again. Diet: We have switched him to a natural food diet several months ago at the suggestion of this vet saying he could be allergiec…

Thought this part of the forum was for "chit chat" and such type of questions. If you had read my initial post you would understand my response. I posted my last post to update those who had offered suggestions and concern and let them know he was getting better. Won't post again.

Called the vet Monday. She didn't call me back and when I called the next day she had gone out of town, but left a msg. that I should bring him in cause he could have nodes or something in his throat. Had to control my fist of death. I re-explained to the receptionist what was going on and we weren't bringing him in and…

After the $800 worth of testing and treatment we know he has abnormal vomiting, IBS. At 1st they thought he might have pancreatitis, but ruled that out. His vomiting wasn't normal as it was to the point he was severely dehydrated and had to be given fluids. We have him on a special food for allergies. Right now he's been…

Well I didn't have much sleep last night despite no diet pepsi. Today I laid down for about an hour and listened to a "Yota Nidra" relaxation session on my IPOD. The speaker takes you thru your entire body focusing on every single part. "Thumb, index finger, middle finger, ring finger, etc. It relaxed me enough to rest for…

 Gave up my one diet pepsi I usually have around 1pm and slept for almost 12 hours last night. Cut back on some of the meds, but did take the Melatonin. Fingers crossed that this is the solution as we planning a vacation to Europe in August and I was starting to obsess about this. Figuring between the no sleep and…

Well I got a little sleep last night. Instead of taking all my meds at once I spaced them out over a 2 hour period. I also am trying Melatonin and doubled up on that. Of course I also doubled up on my sleeping pill, but according to my dr. that won't help so no more of that. Slept from about 10:30pm to 3:30am and was able…

I take a lot of meds, several which cause sedation - one being a sleeping pill and still - zip, nada. I tried adding some Byndryl on my own last night, but nothing. I also have to sleep in total darkness and even wear ear plugs. I'm not going to make it to the fitness center, but will do some crunches and weights here. I'm…

My problem is I'm not sleeping at all or very little. Today I went shopping at the mall with my daughter hoping that if I got out of the house instead of sitting here thinking about how tired I was it might help. We'll see. Yesterday I did force myself to do some strength training and 30 min. on the treadmill, but no…

I had them pretty bad several months ago and my trainer said to lower the incline on my treadmill to take some of the stress off. It was so bad I could only walk for about 10 min because of the pain. I still feel my shins hurting a little so always try to be aware of how hard I'm pushing.

My weight loss journey started in May 2011 weighing 185. By my daughter's wedding in September of last year (2012) I was down to 150, so a drop of 35lbs. I had so much fun with my daughter shopping for my Mother of the Bride dress and all the salespeople telling me "I think she needs a size smaller". It was a wonderful day…

Thanks for all your words of support. Since posting this I have found a new resolve and motivation. I don't know if it's posting this, reading other posts, or something clicking inside me, but the last 2 days I feel like something is different. I found out Friday was the last day with my trainer and I think I was relying…

Thank you so much for your words of motivation. It really inspired me. I do think logging my food plan in ahead of time will be a big help. Also, getting back into a form of exercise. When I lost my 25lbs last year, which I've now regained I was exercising a lot. Wearing my HRM while exercising and using my Fitbit. I still…

OK, this my fear. I'm terrified I'll die and have to be seen in the casket this heavy. I know "I'm vain", but hell I want and open casket and look good. Now everyone will say "she used to be so thin and pretty, what happened?"

Spoke with the nurse at my orthopetic surgeon's office, explained what happened. She felt it definately was the wrist problem. The trainer pulling me up from the lying down position was the straw that broke the camel's back. I could come in and have the doctor look at my wrist, possibly get another cortisone shot. Surgery…

Fitfully, It really sounds stupid, but I think my family has conditioned me that I'm over reacting. About 5 years ago I started seeing hundreds of spots in my field of vision. Called my doctor's office and the nurse told me to go the ER as I could be having a stroke. I told my family what she said and they moaned and…

Well it's been a day now and I'm pretty sure the problem is my prior wrist injury, "De Quervains Tenosynovitis". I've been icing and wearing my wrist splint, but I'm going to call my orthopetic surgeon Monday to see what she has to say. I'm pretty sure she's going to say to wear the splint, which is 24/7, but I need to…

There was a part of me a little peeved my trainer wasn't more worried. Not being able to pick up that water bottle was scarry. The numbness and weakness was scarry. I think he probably should have ended the workout then, but since that was my only symptom I trudged on. I like him a lot, but he's only 25. My daughter's…
