Planning ahead and looking at the menu online is a good idea, that is what I do. But what about being honest with your kids and tell them that you are trying to eat healthier and have been wanting to try out this place __________ where you normally don't go? Or what about having them over for a home cooked healthy meal?…

I've not been a soda drinker but I did recently give up coffee and dealt with several days of headaches while I went through that withdrawal. I think sparkling water is a good idea, maybe with lemon or lime added, but I also think just deciding that you are NOT drinking soda anymore helps, too. As an ex-smoker I gotta say…

My sexy husband is slim and bald but definitely a good woman wouldn't care about looks. If she cares about your hair that much she isn't the right woman for you anyway! A good heart and generous spirit are the truly important qualities.

I agree with everyone here, stop buying things that have labels and make your own foods. It's funny in our house the processed foods I buy: bread, yogurt cups, breakfast cereal are almost all for my hubby. I rarely eat bread (maybe 4 slices a week at most) and don't really eat yogurt (if I do it's usually plain). If I have…

You really will feel healthier when you are juicing. It's like a super-powered-muliti-vitamin.

It's easy to measure, I often just use a food scale. That said, I've personally quit drinking during to week because I wasn't losing and now only let myself have wine on Friday and Saturday. I guess for me it's a glass that turns into 2 or 3 and I've decided that limiting my drinking is in my best interest. My husband is…

I occassionally have a free meal but not the whole day, and I usually still try to stay within my budget by either exercising extra or eating light for my other meals. If you are starving all the time maybe you should up your calories in general. How much are you eating every day right now?

I exercise daily but with varying intensity. On a light day I will do 20 minutes on the exercise bike which is like nothing. Other days I will do 25 minutes on the bike plus 15 minutes of strength training. On a heavy day I will do an hour of pretty intense cardio (usually alternating between elliptical, treadmill, bike)…

I get like 40-50 per day too and have no problems. I also eat a plant based whole foods diet. If your tummy feels fine then you are okay. :flowerforyou:

Must try this! :flowerforyou:

The more muscle you have the more calories you burn while at rest. Muscle increases metabolism. So if you want to be able to eat like a normal person instead of a bird when you reach your goal you should be incorporating some strength training into your routine. Another way to look it is is through body fat %. You can lose…

I don't stop myself from snacking but I do plan healthy snacks, even mini-meals, into my day. If you want low calorie snacks try apples, carrots, celery, oranges, any easy grab and go fruits and veggies are a good idea. If you want something more filling try a handful of nuts or some peanut butter with your apples, carrots…

I have a juice every day. I think you'll love it! Lately I've been using juice as my mid-morning snack. It's great! :drinker: I use the reboot with Joe website a lot for ideas. When I first started juicing I thought I needed recipes but I quickly found out that it's pretty easy to make your own juices with what you have on…

You know you can go in and edit the recipe and change the serving size? I often enter a recipe then go back and make adjustments to serving size or ingredients after it is entered but before I put it in my diary.

:flowerforyou: I measure the finished recipe cup by cup, not that bad since after dinner I just portion things into single servings - or if I want to put it all in a bigger container I still just fill it up cup by cup. But there are a lot of other good ideas here and I might start using some of them!

Breakfast: Mixed fruit - pineapple, banana, orange

Condoms are great and no hormones!

Dinner tonight: Winter Salad with Pumpkin Seed Cheese Crisps (Celeriac, Apple, Carrot, Beet, Kohlrabi, Radish in Spinach Pesto with Fig Jam)

I second frittatas, I make them a lot and they reheat at work very well or are good cold, too.

I usually make extra at dinner and my hubby and I both take leftover whatever to work for lunch. Some recent favorites: - Cauliflower and Potato Curry over nutty brown rice - Bok Choy sauteed with Whole Wheat Spaghetti with a poached egg and grated romano cheese - Big green salads with many fun toppings and homemade salad…

I bought a Jack Lalanne juicer at Costco for about $90 maybe 6 months ago and have been juicing daily since. Today's juice is Beet with Greens, Carrots, Celery, Apple. Check out the website RebootWithJoe.com and watch the movie Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. There are a tons of juice recipes online, here are a few of my…

If you have tomato puree or tomato paste with a little water you can certainly substitte. I would just make do with what I had. Tomato puree I would probably sub 1:1 for the canned tomatoes.

A few recent meals  Recent breakfast: Oatmeal before and after bananas: Recent Snack: Red juice (Beets with greens, carrots, strawberries, orange, apple): Breakfast yesterday: Home fries with green juice: Lunch yesterday: Hot chile grilled cheese with pinto beans plus cabbage salad and a few pickles: Dinner last…

Morning juice: Carrot, Celery, Apple, Satsuma, Fresh Herbs "Shepherd's Pie" with Beans and Cornbread Topping (not pretty but pretty good) Squash-Apple Soup (sorry not the best photo) Spaghetti with Bok Choy, Poached Egg, Romano Cheese with a bit of sriracha

I use unflavored coconut water as the liquid in my smoothies. Some fruits like pineapple or mango or grapes when they are sweet, not sour, help to bring more sweetness.

I like making blistered green bean which I cook in cast iron over pretty high heat with some garlic until they are blistered and then you can add some sriracha to top it off. Great additions to this are sliced almonds or even better, bacon! I rarely use the bacon though. Dish is awesome without it too.
