  • I just got some popsicle molds last week! When they are empty again I will make these since they sound yummy!
  • Hi Ritch I think you missed my question so here it is again
  • I'm from Michigan so I understand the winter weather problems with running, it gets slippery and it's unpleasant, and I actually love being outside in the winter. A couple of years ago I wan running in California in November where there was no snow, it wasn't even cold, but it was DARK and after having several falls due to…
  • No requirements here! I accept anyone. I do delete people though if they become inactive but first I send them a few encouraging notes so hopefully they come back to MFP. There are a few people I probably should delete because their lifestyle is so much different than mine (I eat 2000+ calories a day, you eat 900?) or they…
  • I think you'll be fine but you really just have to try it and see how it works for you. Juicing gives me more energy and personally I don't eat that much protein, I think there is protein-hype that makes people want to eat more than they really need. I eat mostly vegetarian plant based whole foods and I can get 60 or so…
  • Way to go! I quit smoking almost 6 years ago now and I entered my data on quitnet.com and here it is now: ************************************************ Your Quit Date is: 8/12/2007 10:30:00 PM Time Smoke-Free: 2180 days, 16 hours, 28 minutes and 54 seconds Cigarettes NOT smoked: 65421 Lifetime Saved: 16 months, 19 days,…
  • I really like this thread so I will ask a question  I'm in maintenance mode right now due to lots of life changes. I recently moved and don't have access to my bike, a gym, or even my scale for the time being. I have been doing the C25K program 3 times a week and also an at home body weight based strength program 3…
  • This morning I had a big bowl of melon and a whole grain english muffin with peanut butter and even though I went for a run after I'm not hungry yet although it's past time for my 2nd breakfast. Another Overnight Oats recipe, this one using steel cut oats: Combine steel cut oats and water in ratio per package (I think 1…
  • I just searched MFP and both of these things are in the data base with lots of entries so you can just choose one as a guess. When I eat out I usually add it to my food notes that lunch is at a restaurant and so is an estimate. The other thing I do sometimes when I go out for ethnic cuisine is I google what the healthy…
  • Amazing! You are an inspiration!
  • If you do try the fore foot running make sure you start out slow because you use a lot of muscles in your lower legs that you don't use as much with regular running. I would recommend usual a c25k app just so you pace yourself. And if it hurts your knee, don't do it. Maybe try water aerobics instead.
  • You need to eat back your exercise calories my friend :flowerforyou:
  • I have heard that time and staying hydrated help with loose skin but I think every body is different. Great progress though and I'd take a loose skin instead of all those extra pounds for sure!
  • I love these suggestion! I would also bring a giant bag of apples and lots of nuts that I have pre-packaged into 1 ounce potion ziploc bags. These are things you can keep in your room and you don't need to put in the frig. If someone pressures you to eat something you don't want to eat you can say "Oh, thanks! I just had a…
  • All of these suggestions are really good and I would take them! The only other thing I have to mention is fore-foot running. I used to run the standard heel-toe way and I always had a lot of pain. Earlier this year I decided to start C25K using forefoot running and I have had absolutely no pain at all so far and I've been…
  • OMG I thought Moon Moon was hilarious but hose reviews had me crying so hard I had to try several times to actually read them them! Beautiful Beast, um, no thanks, I'll be Moon Moon Moon!
  • I have heard that if you cut it when the moon is waxing it grows faster, when the moon is waning it grows more slowly. I'm not a real doctor, but I am an astrologer.
  • Haha I kind of like looking at what people ate, it's sort of food voyeurism or something! But I like looking at food diaries the same way I love reading menus. I love food and I love to see how people put it together!
  • I totally agree. Sometimes I remark on how little they have eaten but usually I just don't comment, or occasionally I will comment on something they ate like "Oh I love asparagus" or something like that. I never congratulate for being so low. A part of me would like to remove the friends that consistently eat under 1200…
  • If you give up now how long will it be before you are so disgusted with yourself that you gained another 10 pounds? Then another 10? Then another? At what point is feeling good going to become important to you? If you are always exhausted you need to make some changes: more rest, more exercise, eat better. If you don't…
  • I also started at size 14 and my pants were really tight when I started and now I have lost about 25 pounds and am still wearing all the same pants. They all fit way better and I can probably fit in a 12 now too but haven't bothered getting new clothes yet. It sounds like your pants might be fitting better also at this…
  • I have nothing to say. Except you need more than 12 friends if you are looking for support. On a good post I might get 10 supportive comments from over 100 friends so that's like 1 in 10 commenting. Get more friends hun and you will find the support you are looking for. And don't expect everyone to read everything…
  • Best: black cherry, mint chip, or any flavor really Worst: when your scoop falls on the ground :noway:
  • You are a rock star!
  • Good point! Everyone want a no cook recipe sometimes!
  • These are good! I'm gonna try them! I've actually made the garbanzo tuna salad before and it's really good, thanks for reminding me about it!
  • These sound amazing but I don't have a food processor right now. I'm gonna try this when I do have it back though!
  • No dorm room but these are great ideas!
  • Yum yum I like how you think avskk! These are easy and I have most of the ingredients already! :flowerforyou:
