It would be difficult to eat the amount of foods that go into a juice. The juice allows for a nutrient rich dose of vitamins and minerals that is easily digested. For example,my juice today was 16 ounces, 182 calories, and consisted of the following: 1 head of romaine a handful of cilantro 2 Persian cucumbers 1/4 lime 1…

I eat 30-50 grams of fiber daily and no problems here

Joe Cross from Reboot with Joe does a 7-10 day juice fast quarterly and that is also my plan. :drinker:

I love avocado and guacamole! Sometimes I just spread fresh avocado on toast and top with a squeeze of lemon and some salt and it's a tasty tasty treat.

I bet your sister is significantly heavier than you. The heavier you are, the more calories you burn. As you lose weight you will burn less calories for the same activity.

These sound awesome! I actually just made another recipe for the same thing last night and it ROCKED! This recipe is vegan and the burgers didn't fall apart at all and they were delicious! I gotta check these out, thanks!

Thanks and thanks for the friend request too!

Good points! It does take a lot of fruit/veg to make juice. This is actually one of the reasons for juicing instead of eating the whole food because if you tried to actually eat all of the fruits and veggies that went into a juice you would be overwhelmed by that sheer quantity. I like to serve my juices over ice because I…

I hear the Breville juicer is great (I think it is what Joe uses). I like adding lemon and/or ginger to a lot of my juicers, too. It really does add interest to the juices

I wanted to edit my post but can't so here is a little more info: How do I track my juice calories? I can find most juices in the database. I usually search for "raw _______ juice" where the blank is whatever fruit or veggie I have juiced. When I make my juices I use a 2 cup measuring cup with markings up the side and note…

I get mine at Whole Foods in the bulk section and I use it mostly on my popcorn, yum! I have had it in "Mac and Cheez" and a vegan restaurant and it was pretty good that way but I haven't tried making that myself. Looking forward to seeing some recipes

Most juices are in the database. Just search for "raw juice __________" where ________ is kale, cucumber, celery, carrot, apple, orange, beet, spinach, fennel, pear, grapes, cilantro, whatever. I usually make a juice as a recipe and then add the recipe to my food log, just because it seems over done to put 5 or 6 different…

I definitely love avocados, they are worth fitting into your day. Sometimes I have avocado on toast with lemon and salt for lunch. I love guacamole. I make salad dressing with them and use them any way I can think of. I tried this recipe this week (without shrimp) and it rocked:…

This is officially my favorite quote of today

Update: I just made this for dinner and it ROCKED! I skipped the shrimp and actually forgot to add the parmesan and it was still AMAZING! I cooked the tomatoes in a skillet for quickness and added the garlic to them at the end to cook it instead of putting it in raw with the avocado blend. It was SOOOOOOO good!

Try Farm Fresh To You, I think it should be available there. I lived in Point Richmond in Contra Costa county and I loved that CSA. Now I live in northern Virginia and it's good but I do miss my old CSA :flowerforyou:

Usually once or twice each weekend. I try to make good choices and I log it but I'm not fanatical about it.

Do you like lemon? You can make a vinaigrette using oil and lemon in place of the vinegar. I make all my own dresssings but most are vinaigrettes so no help there. I love putting jicama on my salads. Greens with jicama, orange wedges and sunflower seeds. Greens with jicama, cucumber and chickpeas. Greens with jicama,…

Beans and lentils are inexpensive and delicious!

My favorite frozen yogurt is Yogurtland in Berkeley. It's a great treat sometimes but I definitely would not consider it clean eating by any stretch of the imagination. YUM frozen yogurt!

My hubby rarely cooks but when he does he is a reasonably good sport about telling me the ingredients he used so I can log a recipe. I have to ask and he can sometimes be ornery about it but it only takes a minute or two for him to tell me what he put into this dish so please, help me out  Hopefully he is supportive…

I'm a 36G and there is no Victoria Secret bra that fits me, I'm sure. I do love the Impact Free Sports Bra by Royce. I've had a couple of them and it is by far my favorite.
