  • I'll have to go back and find it, I'll look for it tomorrow for you. But as I said previously... I went from loosing half a pound a week to loosing 2-3 pounds a week.. so for me, it works, and I love it. God bless!
  • HA!!! You go girl!!!!! God bless!
  • EXACTLY.... It's an INVESTMENT in your health. And yes.. TOTALLY worth it!!! I wish I could buy one for every member of my family who has a fitness/health goal!!! God bless!
  • It is a device that you wear on your left arm. It measures your temp and your pulse rate and then translates the data into numbers, giving you your calorie burn for the day. It is 90% accurate. It also has pedometer that will tell you how many steps you have taken. You can buy one and just plug it into your computer to…
  • Everything I have read states that they are about 90% accurate. God bless!
  • I have a Bodybugg and I love it! I love knowing exactly how much I am burning and can adjust my daily calorie intake accordingly. Now there is no worry of over estimating my calorie burn during a specific work out, or worrying about not getting enough nourishment. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. If you purchase it new, it comes with a…
  • HA! Too funny. That's how I feel if I go too many days without coffee!!!! LOL God bless!
  • I'm 5'6. I've already lost 21 pounds. My goal weight is about 50 pounds away. My REAL goal, however, is a body fat percentage of 22%. If that happens before I get down to my goal weight.. then I might stop. My ultimate goal is just to be healthy and fit. God bless!
  • My goal is a size 8. That's where I was in high school and college, and looking back at pictures of myself I looked good. My question is this: Why on earth did I think I was fat in high school? That picture shows a healthy, beautiful young lady.... If only I could go back. LOL Ok... sorry for the thread hijack.... size 8…
  • Thanks everyone!! God bless!
  • One of the people who said to give up grains IS a registered dietitian. God bless!
  • My chiropractor also practices Nutrition Response Testing. She has an organic, whole food supplement.. I think it's called glycemax, or something like that... that levels out your blood sugar. Once your blood sugar levels out, the cravings go away. I'm going to get some next week when hubby gets paid!! I'm also cutting out…
  • Some cheeses are high in sodium, which can cause you to retain water. If you're eating cheese from grass fed beef, it's a healthy fat to have in your diet! If you're under your fat goal and calorie goal, I wouldn't worry about it. I eat cheese a few times a week, I love the stuff. And I personally need a little extra fat…
  • I love to mix a few teaspoons of honey, a dash of cinnamon and some chopped raw organic almonds into mine!!! You can put it on top of a baked potato like sour cream. You can put it in smoothies for a yummy protein boost. Mix in a bit of cocoa and honey or sweetener of your choice for a mock chocolate pudding. Mix in…
  • Bananas and berries have the highest amounts of fruit sugars. Green apples and pears have the lowest amount of fruit sugars. I'm not saying that you shouldn't eat other fruits, as they have great vitamins and minerals you need. But perhaps cut back on the sweeter fruits a bit and replace them with apples and pears. I LOVE…
  • Thanks so much for the help! I'll set my MFP goal manually to 1600. I'll still log my exercise, just to keep me accountable, but I won't "eat back" any exercise calories that MFP thinks I should. And as long as I'm burning 2600 daily, it should all be good. :) Thanks! God bless!
  • I like the 365 organic peanut butter from Whole Foods. In a pinch I'll buy MaraNantha, which can be found in many regular grocery stores (I got mine at Kroger). I do typically add a little extra sea salt to my organic peanut butters. Spread onto your bread or apple or whatever, then add a light sprinkle of salt. It tastes…
  • Yes. I just use the cardio option and then put in the calories that I burned for that work out session. I wish they had the option to do that for strength training, but oh well. So basically, if I'm burning 2600 calories a day, and eating 1600 calories a day.... is 1600 calories my net? Thanks God bless!
  • I WISH I could get to the gym twice a day. But I just can't. Kids can only stay in the Kid's Club for 2 hours a day, and the gym is about 20 minutes away, so that'd be TWICE the gas each week to get there....TOTALLY wish I could though! God bless!
  • My Bodybugg goals are set at a 2600 daily burn and a 1600 daily intake. The 1,000 deficit should translate into a 2lb a week loss. MFP says that I need to eat 1200, which is too low for me. So if i log my food on MFP, it'll say I'm going over. Just trying to see what "net calorie" amount would equal a TOTAL consumed of…
  • 1. Drink more water. You're retaining water from too much sodium intake and/or not enough water intake. 2. Don't weigh yourself every day. 3. If you know you're going to be with people, and you KNOW that food is your downfall when you're with people... then here are some tips. A. Eat a healthy, filling snack before going…
  • Sounds like a great idea! PMing you now! God bless!
  • I COMPLETELY agree with this! Example: A week and a half ago I had severe pain in my side and drove to the ER at 11:00pm when I couldn't take the pain anymore. Turns out I had a kidney stone that i was in the process of passing, and more in my kidney. The doctor prescribed 4 medications. I am breastfeeding, and was told…
  • Coconut oil does not get stored in your body as fat. It goes straight to your liver to be broken down, and actually encourages your liver to go into fat burning mode. It's the absolute healthiest oil you can put into your body. Olive oil is good for you, but should only be used raw. You should be buying organic extra…
  • On the body fat percentage chart "Fitness" is catgorized as 20% - 25%. So my goal is in the middle of that at 22%. My tentative weight goal is 145, because looking back that's about where I was at my healthiest. But that's just a number to work towards, that I can measure on a regular basis. The TRUE goal is 22% body fat.…
  • I look at my progress pictures. The first set are pretty bad, the second set of pictures is after my 21 pound loss, and it's a HUGE difference. And then I think about the 4% body fat and 8 inches (4 from my waistline) that I have lost. And then I think about how much better I feel and it motivates me to be good. Also, I do…
  • This is SOOO true.. during my cardio circuit, if I do it like I should.. the machines say I burn 700 calories. That SAME workout logs 539 on my Bodybugg, which is said to be more than 90% accurate. God bless!
  • Yup. I use a Bodybugg to know what I burn during a workout as well as all day. God bless!
  • For me, I saw a picture of myself and was depressed and disgusted at how big I had gotten. That was it. I got a gym membership. Then to make sure I WENT, I spent the money on a package of personal training sessions. If I dropped all that money on it, I was more likely to go work out. I took "before" pictures. After I…
  • Try going gluten and dairy free for a week and see how you feel. God bless!
