  • It's funny...all the comments prove that the AVERAGE truly is most likely 4500 calories. Lol Here on a fitness site...quite a few people are saying they don't eat that much. Well...everyone else is eating double. Thus the average. I know I didn't get fat on 2000 calories a day...so double that for a holiday....pretty easy.
  • I'm 5'9"...started at 268 and now 195. 16's are too loose...but 14's aren't quite comfy yet. I would like to get to 168 just because its a whole 100 pound loss, but my dr said my goal should be 175. I was 323 for a while 10 years ago (before gastric bypass that i out-ate)...so she said my bone density may be as much as…
  • I don't have either of those but it looks like neither will cover a tummy tuck. My insurance will cover a tummy tuck if there are rashes that have proven resistant to treatment for a year, and one other problem like back pain, etc, or the skin flap hangs below the pubic bone. I have no rash...so I'm out. :(
  • I agree...so unfair. I am down a total of 130 pounds from 10 years ago....and my skin reminds me all the time. I have decided to have it removed. It affects my general view of myself and I can't deal with it anymore. And yeah...I drank water, exercised, moisturized...all that. With no luck. Or maybe this is way better than…
  • Ok....so one of the big things i learned while losing weight... I am NOT large framed, or big boned...or whatever. Always thought I was....wrists were over 7"...finger and thumb deal never mattered...I have long fingers...so it's worthless. Now my wrist measures 6.25. I'm average framed for my height...5'8.5". I personally…
  • No one else can ever be you. Be the most awesome version of YOU that you can be and be happy doing what you love. You will enjoy your life and other people will see that...and will want to enjoy your life with you! :)
  • Ok I'm not a guy but ill tell you the truth as I know it. If a married guy really cares about these thing...he is *kitten* enough to let his wife know. I struggle with the same issues....but after this long I realize, yes my husband loves me...and even more so naked. He is, after all, a guy. If I improve on the naked view,…
  • For those of you...including the OP...who were really overweight...like 50 pounds or more for a long time, you might be happy to know that BMI is inaccurate. My doctor told me my goal weight should be no less than 175. I'm 5'9" and medium framed. This is still overweight by BMI standards, but because for many years long…
  • It's a day gone. Not a failure. So what. Today is a good day. If it makes you feel any better I will confess that my desperate PMS craving for ONE Oreo...turned into eating 9 of those nasty things and adding 700 calories to my bad day. So yep...it happens to everyone. And that's not my first oopsie. Lol. Still down 74…
  • I buy clothes all the time. I feel motivated when something smaller fits awesome....and I wanna look good, not frumpy in baggy stuff when I worked so hard...even if its temporary. I do limit myself to 2 pairs of jeans in each size though. They are expesive and need to fit really good....tops and sweaters have a lot longer…
  • Great job!! And you are sooo cute!
  • Great question....and so glad to know the answer! Thanks so much Mike! Hope you get many happy returns...in health, happiness and financial too. You deserve it! I woulda paid for the app if I knew how it would benefit me and my family!
  • Well we have a somewhat unique household...I am a stay at home mom to teenagers and I spend my 8-10 hours a day doing all the housework, cooking, budgeting, bill paying, landscaping, organizing, running errands and working out. My husband has basically nothing to do when he gets done working. I am lucky enough to have a…
  • Awesome!! I was so excited to cram myself into a 14...so I can imagine how big your smile was in the fitting room!! Congrats!
  • If I try to avoid my nightly diet dr pepper, I crave food. I drink it. One a day. And I can keep on track with everything else. Everyone is different. One "bad" thing that keeps me from porking back out is totally worth it.
  • Read the long term (8-10+years out) experiences....most tell of complications and weight regain...most...not all, of course there are exceptions. The short term (had it last year...) experiences are mostly positive. They are still losing even....but beware...this is a lifetime decision. I had gastric bypass surgery in…
  • If its NOT hard, why did you get overweight to start with?? (Of course I don't mean to sound *****y!)
  • I followed all the suggestions and its not going away. Seriously...years of moistuizing, exercise, water...all that. Surgery is my only option if its not gone in the next 25 pounds. Seeing how much better it looks is no consolation since its still bad. It makes a big difference if you have more or less to lose.
  • None...we don't do Halloween....but I woke up this morning with an incredible urge to run to Target for a bag of 50% off candy corn. Lol
  • Do you have your stats entered in endomondo correctly? Just checking because my husband had weird numbers coming up on his....when we would do the same thing, out numbers were super different and we weigh the same. He checked his stats and his weight and sex were wrong. Lol
  • I'm kind of in the middle of the road on this. I had a total of 100 pounds to lose but my first success post on facebook was when I lost 40 pounds. My friends are quite encouraging and I felt a stronger sense of commitment by making it public. That being said, I only post every ten pounds lost. With a simple "-70" for…
  • I pretty much ignore it all. Until CNN reports a death by white bagel, I'm gonna eat it.
  • Yep...I have like 10 flavors of sugar free Toriani syrups and I add regular half n half. I drink one big coffee every day and total calories is usually under 100. It's the only thing I can't give up. My fav coffeemate is sugar free Carmel macchiato. I do have to add real cream or half n half to any sugar free stuff though…
  • Awesome! Thank you for the motivation I needed today!
  • Yep my anemia was iron deficiency...from an old gastric bypass and then aggravated by a low calorie diet in which I would skip meat in order to lower calories just because I don't like meat. I have since found other sources of protein and iron and with the supplements my iron is ok. Not good yet but ok. So really it could…
  • "Hello....welcome to Abercrombie...we have size Small, Extra Small, and Anorexic."
  • I agree with this....getting healthy does not cost more as people tend to say it does. As a middle class suburban family of 5 with teenagers... My excuse was that eating healthy costs more. I was surprised to find that it is cheaper. No candy bars at checkout. Doritos are about $4 a pound...same as raw ground turkey and…
  • Wow...I was all upset over my gain...but 15 would be so hard to deal with! Thanks for letting me know this is valid...I do feel so much better with my iron up but not fun when I gotta get more weight off now.
  • Yeah I did have my thyroid checked because I was having so much trouble losing weight at first. A lot of it was a lack of energy and feeling dizzy a lot....but no thyroid problems....at least the minor things that showed up were not worth medicating. I was al ost hoping for something solid. Or at least a reason why I was…
