  • I love this! I was so happy when I was done with that store. Now my Lane Bryant card is my only credit card with a zero balance every month....and I keep it just as a reminder of what i once was. Lol!
  • It may not sound amazing to some people (i hate them...LOL) but from someone who couldnt run down the driveway to the mailbox 100 yards away a year ago...I am very impressed!! Thats awesome!! When I completed three whole minutes of 6.0mph during my first round of C25K, I cried. So I get it!! :) Be proud...enjoy it!
  • I found a lot of great info, personal experiences and photos at realself.com I am considering it...but trying to hit my goal weight before the final decision. :)
  • My first husand's marriage vows.
  • I lost 130 pounds and have loose skin. I AM SO GLAD I LOST THE WEIGHT...and will do everything I can to lose the las 20 pounds...even if it means LOOSER skin. Think of all the reasons why you want to lose weight. Which of those are negated by loose skin, besides ONE? Looking amazing naked. Lots of people have lots of tips…
  • Amazing! Great inspiration!
  • Just sayin...people are more likely to listen when you have lost more than 0 of your 53 pounds. We like proven tips. I could let everyone know how I eat McDonald's, never lift, only walk for most exercises, eat twice a day, never eat breakfast, and all that...fact is, I am healthy, on zero meds, and have lost 72 pounds.…
  • I was interested...until you said "calorie in calorie out is moronic." So I lost 73 pounds putting less calories in and putting more calories out. And I'm not a moron. Tuned you right out.
  • I am 5'9" and started at 268...it took me a good 30 pounds to go down a size. I was a tight 20...probably should have been a 22 though in some stuff...and 18s weren't comfy till around 230. And then at 210 I fit into some 16s and now at 195 I still have some 16's and snug 14. It's frustrating, I really have only gone down…
  • Doritos are $3.50 a pound...apples are 1/3 that. Pound for pound, most healthy fresh foods are cheaper than junk foods. If you mean how can you beat a $3 frozen pizza...try piece of tilapia with a side of grilled green beans and a half a sweet potato for the same cost. And if you are trying to beat a bag of ramen…
  • Circumcision is for looks...ask any dr. And my girls cried way more over putting on tights than when they got their ears pierced. Lol
  • Exactly what I wanted to say. I would not allow my son to be circumcised but both daughters had their ears pierced as infants. All three of my kids (ages 18, 16 & 12) are honestly glad I made the choices I made for them...in these areas as well as others. You can always let the holes close.
  • Im not a fan of most nuts....but Pistachios make me happy.
  • Love it! Great story...and you look beautiful and happy!
  • Personally I avoid deep fried anything. That's my biggest problem. I do have deep fried cauliflower once every 6 weeks or so, but generally avoiding the fried stuff saved my life. I was eating it 4-5 times a week before...huh...THAT'S why I was fat. Oh, no, that was the worst of 1817363 reasons. Lol
  • I was here looking for motivation to keep going and found a lot!! Thanks everyone! So I thought I would share my progress pics...I dont have a new one but have been stuck losing only 3 pounds since September...in this pic I was 199 down from 268. I am 5'9". Edited to add this one where I am not hiding any fat rolls behind…
  • Ed...you have been my inspiration for many months!! I so appreciate everything you have shared!
  • . This helps a lot...I just need reasons to be patient...and this is definitely a good one!
  • Looking like its probably a myth...
  • Lots of good ideas...here's my favorite popcorn trick... Squeeze LIME JUICE all over it and salt it. I love the soaking with butter texture with no calories and tons of flavor! I use the 100 cal smart pop bags just cuz I'm lazy and don't want to measure. :)
  • Nothing tastes as good as thin feels.
  • I got stuck on a plateau when I cut out my diet dr peppers. I found I was having a really hard time with snack cravings in the evening and during football games especially. When I went back to my nightly soda, I killed most of the cravings and I generally eat about 200 less calories on the days I drink my beloved diet dr…
  • I know I won't be thrilled with myself at my goal, but I will be healthier and much better off than before I started. Like was already mentioned...no one looks in the mirror and loves what they see...ok narcissus did...lol...but regular people all have flaws. My problem is that when I was heavier, I thought I looked pretty…
  • 9 minutes!?! AWESOME! My first day I did 4. Swore at Jillian and didn't try again for three months. When i first started walking, it took me 25 minutes to walk 1.1 miles around the block in front of my house and I thought I was gonna die afterwards... a year later I do 4 miles in 60 minutes. And I can go more. I should…
  • I thought I was pretty accurate on guessing calories by now, but we made a last minute stop at Perkins for breakfast and I ordered a farmers omelette without the meat. When I went to put in my calories I almost died to see that the meal with hash browns and wheat toast was 1480 calories!!! I only finished half, but still,…
  • Ok this makes perfect sense then....take the total three weeks... Say you need 2100 calories a day to maintain....thats 44,100 calories for three weeks. Now 5 of those days you had 400 calories average...sick days...(5 days x 400 calories= 2000 calories) and the other 16 days you averaged 1300 calories (16 days x 1300…
  • Ok let me get this straight... I understand that you were sick the first week of December, lost 8 pounds and then another 1.5 pounds over the next two weeks? 9.5 pounds is amazing for three weeks!! My guess is that you lost 5-6 pounds of water while you were sick, gained it back and the lost the 4 pounds of real weight…
  • I'm on my second plateau.... First one was around the month of June....after losing 55 pounds in 6 months. I broke it by buying a bike and biking like crazy. This time I have been stuck since September. And yes, both times I have stayed well below maintenance calories. In fact this one I think is from eating too far below…
