I agree! I'm in between sizes and have been stuck right here for a few months. I am running out of patience!

I say if you require tall sizes...you are tall. If you require petites, you are short. That's my non-scientific description. I'm 5'9" and I am borderline on buying tall clothes...some are and some aren't. So I don't think 5'7" is tall. I also think its all relative....if you are always around 5'2" women...you are tall. Lol…

Love!

I agree....tastes and styles change...stories don't.

I like those words! Awesome!

Ok...so I used to love tattoos...and always wanted a gecko *holding* onto the top of my foot with its tail wrapped around my ankle. Now, almost 40...I am kinda glad I didnt ever get around to it, as I am more drawn toward *clean* skin. I still love the one I have on my chest...(pic)...because I can cover it or show it as…

Thanks girls!

Ok...here's me...I am 5'9" and was 260+ in the fat pic and 199 in the other one. It took about a year...I would like to lose another 25 pounds but its been super hard for the past few months.

Ok I understand....you are where I was. My husband too....and kids. Same stuff...grab food cuz it's fast and sounds good RIGHT NOW. I can't tell you how to fix it in a day, cuz I have been working on this mess for almost two years and I don't stick to the perfect plan like I should. But, my husband, 16 year old daughter…

Ok first of all great job!! And now is where I say don't buy a bunch of stuff! A top maybe, but bottoms are not worth it. Quite a few times throughout my loss...similar to yours...I bought stuff a size or two smaller because it was on sale and awesome. Well either I skipped that size, or the jeans wouldn't even fit right…

Thats like asking why did you let yourself get overweight? Who cares how she got there! Kudos to the parents for helping this girl lose it. They obviously were concerned for years....and went with her...didn't just send her off to some program on her own. I love that story!

So I was on 13-1500 calories for about 14 months. Completely stalled at the 1500 calories or less and had been stuck since August. I finally decided to take a break and jumped right to maintenance calories. 2100 for me. I chose this based on a combination of TDEE and MFP settings....and I started on Thanksgiving day. So…

Ok so I don't run but I walk about 4-5 miles a day with a tiny bit of jogging in there... I use endomondo and I put my phone in an old kids sock and stick in in my bra. I hate armbands cuz I'm left with a nasty tan line. If its raining or hot out and I will be sweating a lot, I put it in a ziploc first and then the sock…

Awesome job!! You look great!

Ok first of all...I sooo understand. I have a bigger hanging skin flap than you and I get it...I look in the mirror and only see fat. Even though everyone else says I look great. It doesn't matter that they say it....they don't see me naked. I cover up good. I want to look in the mirror and think I look ok. Not even hoping…

Ok I gotta say I AGREE....NOW. But I did not agree when I was fat. I actually found the show motivating when I saw the changes made in their life by losing weight. So I decided to do it myself because all that screaming and jail and working out a million hours scared the crap outta me. I wanted to get this done before…

I can totally relate! And then I read this....someone posted it on MFP a while back...and I cried...lol. But seriously I have learned how people truly think. And I am no longer the fat girl! :) http://flintland.blogspot.com/2012/05/hey-fat-girl.html

We 'met' in an old Yahoo chat room...I was working online with a chat room window open and never looked at it till I went to close down the computer. When I saw that window up there were only two people left and I get this private message asking if I know how to switch rooms. I told him...then he asks a few questions and I…

You are such an inspiration! Are you still consistently losing?
-
It's does help! Thank you! I tend to not eat my exercise calories because my mathematical freak of a brain says greater deficit means faster loss. I guess I need to eat!
-
Walking IS an exercise. Doesn't matter what you weigh. The less you weigh, the less of a calorie burn you get, but that's true of any physical activity. Would you say running for 4 minutes is not exercise? Only 40 minutes? Exercise. Noun Activity requiring physical effort, carried out esp. to sustain or improve health and…

There was nothing scary about the article. Actually I see what her mistakes have been and it helps me to know that I am going to be just fine. Forever.
-
Actually the 40 pounds you lost burned over 350 calories a day staying alive. So the more you lose, the harder it gets to keep up a significant deficit. That's my scientific explanation...my personal explanation is that its just plain stupid. Lol. I am really fighting for my last 26 pounds, so I know the frustration!

Great job!!

This is interesting...I find that guys hold the door and look right at me now, and clearly say you're welcome when I thank them....etc. I also find that women are more helpful and respectful to me now as well. I feel like they have the misconception that if you are in better shape, you are more intelligent. Which I find a…

This is interesting because I have a similar "mom" comment...and can relate. When I graduated high school I was 5'10" and 168 pounds. When I finally decided to lose weight I was 268 and set my goal at 168. When I explained to my mom that my goal was 168 just because I want to lose a whole 100 pounds, and that's what I…

Happens to me...the whoosh thing. Lol About every month or so. Just about the time I decide I am giving up on this plateau....I lose two or three or even five pounds over two or three days. And then stay there for another 3-5 weeks. I wish the weight was more predictable like at first. But I'll take it any way it wants to…

Yep...I have hanging skin. But deflated is better than full of fat. :)

Everything counts as far as weight loss. But vitamins I don't enter. Just because I need them and they are only 10 calories and aren't going to come off my allowance. But an actual brownie...yeah you gotta count it. One hundred calories a day equal almost a pound a month. I know I am burning that 10 calories getting ready…
